Chapter 1

Tris POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. Even though I'm in district 13 I still have chores to do. It's silent and I can't help but let my mind wander back to thoughts of Four and how much love he had for me. I can't think like this. Me and Katniss have become good friends since and Finnick has been a good help too. They both help to think of ways that we can get both Four and Peeta back without them getting hurt. None of them would be successful.

I watch from the ground as President Coin makes yet another speech about how we can't let the Capitol win and how we all have to work together. She mentions Me, Finnick and Katniss as survivors and reasons to fight against the Capitol. In not one of her speeches has she mentioned Four or Peeta and that's how I know I have to do something. Anything. She concludes her speech and the people of District 13 cheer and clap. They respect Coin but I know something is off with her. I start to walk out as she says something else. "I would like both Tris and Katniss to have a meeting with me in my office immediately." I think of all the things I could've done to annoy her or go against the rules but I can't think of anything. I walk with Katniss to her office. It's a small dark room with one long table with 10 chairs, obviously she holds all team meetings in here." What does she want?" I ask Katniss.
"I have no idea." We sit opposite each other at the table in silence.

"Ah thank you both for agreeing to meet me here." Coin says as she walks in.
"It's not like we had a choice is it?" Katniss says sarcastically. If looks could kill Katniss would be dead by the look Coin gave her.
"What do you want with us?" I ask.
"I need you both the help me help you. I want you both to help with promotional TV appearances to show Snow and Jeanine that you are alive and well in District 13 so that they know we won't settle until we rescue Peeta and Four. You, Katniss, will be the mockingjay and Tris will be the snow queen. What do you say?"
"I say we need to think about it." Katniss replies and we leave the room without another word from Coin.
