Four POV:
I awake to voices outside my cell, I think they are calling my name but I can't tell for sure. I rub at my eyes and sit up just as the guards come in followed by Jeanine Matthews. She stares down at me. "Good morning Jeanine." She sneers.
"We require your help this afternoon. We have a prep team here to help you get ready. You'll be given lines to read from. This is your first promo shoot so you better dow well or you will be punished." I nod and she leaves without saying another word. I stand as the guards go and the prep team come in. I roll my eyes, this is nothing like the prep team we had before the Death Games. I suddenly feel nostalgic and really miss Tris. It's new feeling and I'm not sure if I like it.
I'm walking into an office dressed in a dark blue suit. I like it, it's comfortable and it reminds me of the colour the sky was when I first kissed Tris. I shake my head. I need to get these thoughts out. I need to have a clear head. I haven't been told much about the promo shoot, only that it's an interview about Tris with Caesar Flickerman. He's asking the questions and all I have to do it answer. I can do this. I think.
I'm sat in a big pluh chair opposite Flickerman when the camera starts rolling. "Residents of Panem, today I am joined by Four. We are going to be talking about Tris, one of the bright sparks leading the rebellion agasint the Capitol. She is no longer the young girl we knew." He turns to me then. "So Four, tell me how you and Tris met." I nod.
"Me and Tris met when we were young. Our mothers were best friends so inevitably we became best friends too. When we were about fourteen I realised that I didn't want her to be my best friend anymore, I wanted her to be more than that." I pause to take a deep breath. "So that day I took her on a picnic to her favourite spot and just talked to her about anything and everything. At the end of lunch, I kissed her. The sky was the colou of this suit." Caesar nods in agreement, although I don't know what he is agreeing to, I didn't ask any questions. "What do you think of what her and Katniss are doing?"
"I think it's terrible." I look down. " But I don't think that it's entirely their fault. I think that they are being given false information about what President Snow and Jeanine Matthews are doing."
"Any final words to Tris?" He asks and I look straight into the camera. "Tris, my greatest love, if you stop this now nothing bad will happen to you. You won't be to blame. Please stop before this gets out of control." I blow her a kiss and make sure my wrists are visible to her. I wrote the words 'save me' in hopes that she will understand that 'm not safe here. Despite the serum I still love her. I hope she can see them and that it wasn't a wasted effort. I can't stand this any longer. The camera stops filming and I'm dragged back to my cell where I'm given more of the yellow serum. Did they see the words painted on my wrists? I hope not.
