I couldn't sleep at all that night, after everything that had happened. I questioned my own sanity and safety, wondering what I could possibly do to stop this. I wound staying up all night long on the living room couch, before getting up at five in the morning to find the phonebook. After finding one, I scrolled for a good ten minutes before ending up on the G section. There was only one Glantis one, which I dialed.
"What do you want!? It's the middle of the night!" A loud man answers the phone yelling in my ear.
"Are you Ryan Glantis' father?" I asked calm and collected as possible.
"Yes? Why." His tone went from angry to downright terrified.
"I really need to speak to him sir." I said quietly.
"Fine." His stern voice turned back to shouting, as I could hear him holler for Ryan.
"Ryan! Wake the fuck up a girl is calling you for some odd reason!" He screams, and seconds later Ryan is at the phone.
"Casey!?" He whined.
"Hey baby.." My voice was already shaky.
"How's your head?" He asked.
"Fine now listen, we need to talk." I said, and he went completely quiet.
"What on earth was that on the piece of paper?" I asked, and there was another long pause.
"Hello?" I ask.
"Babe I.." He hesitates, before laying it all down front and center.
"It's a project." He says, and I could physically feel my eyes rolling in the back of my head. Because, he always keeps referring back to calling this map a project.
"It involves something important to School, like VERY important." He kept going on and on as I just listened and gasped to myself.
"It's a personal endeavor that I've been waiting so long for, more than you can understand." He says.
"A personal endeavor? About School?" I ask.
"Yes, and a lot of people will be watching." I could feel his words cutting into me.
"I'll actually know where everyone is, and what they're doing. Why? Because it's an easier target." At this point I was so filled with anxiety that I interrupted.
"What are you talking about!?" I shout.
"Right now, it's more of a need than I want." Then he continues to explain.
"Like for example, I need you like people need oxygen. And I'm gonna suck up all their air." Then there's another long pause.
"Ryan? Ryan!?" I exclaim.
"I love you Casey." Then he hangs up.
