You creep along the outskirts of my life,Troubling my friends
And reacquainting yourself with old pals
Who now live inside my circle of life
I don't know why you attempt to poison my brain
Or break my bonds by whispering
Words of distrust about those in my life
In a sad effort to force me into a lonely existence
What do you get out of making someone miserable?
A sense of accomplishment
Or revelry in another's pain
To hide your own?
You're the one drowning
And you're trying to take down as many people
Around you so that you may not suffer
Alone, as you are
But who are you to influence a life that isn't yours,
To cause rifts where there once were none
And blanket crude words with "good intentions"
Because you "love me"
I don't believe you ever did love me anymore
Because if you did
Or still do
You wouldn't always try to take me down with you
I'm done and it's time for you to back off,
Save your final words you always try to squeeze in,
I don't want to hear them anymore.
