I stare up at the sky sometimes and recall
All the times we admired it together
Throwing out cheesy compliments
That the sky paled in comparison
To our beauty
Because that's just what we did
To make each other smileOther times I go to places marked with
Memories of our past
I can't even try to ignore
Because it reeks of us
And demands to be felt and relived at once,
All the happy times
And the unhealthy arguments
That slowly ripped us apart and opened my eyesI can't escape you
Nor can I forget you
But I can cope
And it gets easier each day
As I move on to new people
Even if it still hurts sometimes
That's okay
It's okay
I'll be okay
And so will youI wish you the best, love
I miss you sometimes
But you're no good for me
So I'm overriding our memories
With new people to freshen
Up those old places,
To make them feel revived and new again
Just like me
