Omniscient
Kentrell sat in the waiting room nervously staring at the wall. If he had his a say he wouldnt be here. It was just-disturbing. However he couldnt do anything about it. Miss Cleo had asked him to stay and wait on Jahseh since she couldnt. She had stumbled out of the hospital looking hysterical. He had to strain to catch her words through all the sobbing she was doing. Alarmed by her condition,he'd refused to let her go back to the hotel alone but she insisted, giving him a stern look to stay with her son.

Kentrell hated hospitals with a burning passion. Everytime he'd been in it ,someone died. In this case in his own opinion, was a poor innocent soul. He sighed kicking his feet out and leaned back shifting his gaze to the ceiling. He found his mind wandering to his godmother's son. He'd never met the boy before a few days ago but he always heard about him. At least his mother talked about him before she passed on. He wasn't at all like his mother had described him. He couldn't find a trace of the sweet, bright and intelligent boy his mother had described. Instead he saw a lost broken dull soul. He was vaguely aware of the 'issues' the younger man was going through. He'd heard his cousin Sheyaa and his boyfriend Tyquian talking about it. All he knew was that Jahseh was married to a rich famous rapper and they recently divorced to a scandal. Kentrell wasnt so in on the trends and gossip of celebrities. Being fresh from the army,he had more important things to think bout.

Then his mind shifted to the conversation he'd had with Miss Cleo earlier that morning. He still found it strange she would ask him to do that.

"Promise me you'll do it Kentrell."she had pleaded with him.

"I still don' get why you want him to keep the baby so bad if he don' wan' to Miss Cleo. I mean iss only understable considerin' the circumstances." Kentrell tried to reason with her in their hushed voices trying not wake Jahseh.

"Please dont ask so many questions. I have my reasons. Besides you and i know that baby dont deserve to die like that. He-he could be the next president."she bluttered seeming desperate. Kentrell bit his lip eye brows raised.

"But i still got two of my kidneys and so do you. Technically you tryna lie to yoh son to guilt trip him into keepin a baby he don want."he had sumned up the situation finding it more fucked up when he said it. "Not forgetting aint nuffin wrong wit mah balls. Kids iss jus a touchy subject fah me."

"Kentrell!"she shrieked. "Shut up please. Just tell me if you'll do it or not. I wouldnt be asking you if it wasn't important."her whole demeanor screamed restless. Kentrell rolled his eyes knowing he would jump off a cliff if the woman asked him to.

"Ooookay but ian think it finna work. Ol' dude seems pretty determined to get rid of the poor baby." Kentrell said sadly but the woman wasn't listening since she was up kissing his cheek and walking away the moment he said okay. He sighed watching her retreating figure.

Kentrell however was brought back to the present by the doctors office bursting open. He instantly sat up and got on his feet when his eyes landed on a distraught Jahseh. He frowned watching the man stumble almost falling to the floor. That had his legs carrying him to the smaller man holding him up. Jahseh was silently crying looking as if his soul had been ripped out of him. Very much confused he walked Jahseh to the available seat. He tried thinking of something to say.

"Uhmm...you okay?"he mentally slapped himself. Of course he wasnt ok. Now what do you say to a person who willingly killed a child? Kentrell tried to think of something else but nothing came up. "Are you in pain? I could getchu painkillers. Is that whatchu want ?"he was trying too hard and he knew it. He finally got a response when Jahseh shook his head. They sat in uncomfortable silence,Kentrell wanting to run. However Jahseh let out a strangled sob staring straight ahead, more tears spilling. Out of instinct Kentrell reached out pulling the man into his arms. He felt funny when Jahseh started to shake against him clearly crying. Kentrell however couldnt understand why the man was crying. He thought Jahseh would be happy after the abortion but it didnt look like it with how hard the man was sobbing.
