"Is that everything?"

"Yes ma'am Cleo. Thas everythang."

"Good. Let's go." Cleo grabbed onto her son's hand pulling him outside to the uber already waiting on them. Jahseh said nothing. All he did was do exactly as he was told. He felt empty for starters. There had been so many good and bad memories in this city. His whole life was here. Everything he worked so hard to build and acquire was here. But not anymore. Everything was gone. A single day had robbed him of his most treasured possessions.

"Baby you gone be okay. I'm here for you."his mother kissed his tempo pulling him closer to her body as her hands rested on his flat and well toned stomach.

He did hear her but her words weren't registering in his brain. He felt tired and drained for the most part. All he wanted now was to sit on that plane and fall asleep. The sleeping pills he took were already starting to take effect.

They finally arrived at the airport, Kentrell managing all their luggage. After that customs was uneventful and just like he wanted Jahseh took his seat on the plane. Luckily it was close to the window so he just looked out of it ignoring everybody else. He didn't even acknowledge the instructions of the pilot and Kentrell had to assist in fastening his seatbelt.

In his sleepy state he suddenly felt a warm hand on top of his own. He dragged his eyes down just as the plane was taking off only to see Kentrell's hand holding on to him for dear life. He frowned dragging his eyes back up to the man. A snort escaped his lips however when he saw the terror on the man's face. Eyes tightly shut and face scrunched up like he was gonna cry. His breathing was fast and laboured as the turbulence of the take off rocked the plane. An unwanted smile took over his face as he struggled not to laugh at the sight in front of him.

"Ow."he winced as the other man tightened his grip. His hand was in pain and by the time the plane stabilized his fingers were numb.
"Let go. That shit hurts."he wiggled his hand around gaining Kentrell's attention.

"Oh-damn-my bad." Kentrell let out embarrassed and instantly faced the other direction. Jahseh continued wiggling his fingers to bring them back to life.

"Say slime, a nigga wasn't scared or anything." Kentrell blurted out suddenly. Jahseh raised his eyebrows amusement now taking over his face."I just-I-uhm-see...I was tryna make sure you was straight. Yeah. Dassit." Kentrell tripped over his words trying to explain. Jahseh found himself chuckling despite himself.

"Sure."he mumbled leaning back and looking out the window again.

"I'm for real. I definitely ain't scared of flying. That'd be dumb right. Definitely not. I can handle it. I'mma grown ass man. I-yeah and you don't care. Okay i'mma shut up nai." Kentrell sighed after Jahseh paid him no mind through his rambling.

"Fuck mayne. Stupid."he heard Kentrell mutter under his breath but said nothing. Again he found himself smiling with a shake of his head. His attention however was captured by the clouds that had a beautiful golden glow as the sun was setting. He took a deep breath.

Everything is gonna work out. Stay positive.

He recited over and over in his head.

"Hey." Kentrell softly tapped his shoulder. Jahseh took his time turning around. "Say,you okay?"his breath however caught in his throat as sad brown as looked back at him. Jahseh felt his eyes water as his bottom lip trembled. He took a deep breath his gaze lowering to Kentrell's chest instead of maintaining eye contact.

"No."it came out as a croak that led him to clear his throat."b-but...I'll be okay. At least I hope I will."his head lowered completely as he wiped his eyes the tears silently leaking." Argh I don't wanna cry any more. It ain't fucking helping."he groaned frustrated with himself.

He however never expected the warm embrace he suddenly found himself engulfed in. A sweet calming scent filled his nostrils taking his breath away for a second. His body which had stiffened with the suddenness of the action gradually relaxed enjoying the warmth and comfort. No words were exchanged between the two but there weren't any required. The embrace in itself held a thousand words. Words that Jahseh needed to hear and he latched on the desperately. Holding on for dear life. Holding on to the hope that some way some how all this will make sense in the future. His eyes gradually closed the sleeping pill consuming him. He dug his face deeper into the strong shoulder inhaling more of the calming scent.

Kentrell didn't mind the additional weight on his chest. Instead he felt an overwhelming sense to shield Jahseh from any and everything. It was at that moment he realised he would die for the shorter man. Not necessarily because he knew him or anything but because he could relate more than anyone to the feeling of losing everything. All you believe in gone and lost forever.

What scared him however was the way his heart expanded at the feeling of having the shorter man in his arms. It made him uncomfortable yet it was the kind of discomfort he craved. He barely had anybody to call his. The closest person he had to family was ma'am Cleo and his friends back at the army. But those niggas were stuck in war zones and were probably dead for all he knew.

He moved Jahseh around to a more comfortable position.

Beautiful.

That's what he thought as his eyes raked the tired sleeping form of the shorter man. How could anyone want to hurt such a precious soul? Kentrell couldn't wrap that around his head as his fingers delicately pushed a stray strand of curly hair.

(Jah doesn't have dreads yet😉)

Cleo watched the two from the other side of the aisle with a frown. She was glad to be taking her son away from all the drama in his life but she didn't like how close Jahseh was getting to Kentrell. Her son,in her opinion, didn't another man breaking his heart again. She knew Kentrell and she definitely knew he wasn't it for her son. All Jahseh should be worried about now is the baby. Nothing else. She huffed making a mental note to keep a close eye on the two.

That baby was more important!

"Really? A baby? That's just low. What were y'all thinking?"

"Aye mayne chillout with the fucking yelling! I was just following orders ight."

"You really actually did rape him?"

"Fuck no! I just left him there like you said then the madam took over. Ion know what the fuck she did with him."

"Trevor I swear to fucking god if you lying to m-"

"Bitch shut that shit up and run me my money. Why I gotta lie for anyway. I'mma lot of things but I ain't no damn rapist yoh. Fuck out my face with that bullshit."

The two eyed each other down in silence. Then a bag of money was slammed on the floor at the feet of the taller. The other man walked out still angry slamming the worn out door on his way out.

"Cleo what the fuck did you do?"he mumbled to himself anger coursing through his veins. He wanted answers and he would get them!
