Chapter 14

It was late the Friday afternoon and Josh was getting a few stuff in Philadelphia done.
Of course Cory texted him to say he is throwing Maya something and that he should come over for the weekend.
Which he obviously excepted.
He was just picking up a few items when he saw someone of his past.
Or his brother's past.

"Shawn Hunter?"
"Josh! What are you doing out this time of day?" Shawn asked greeting Josh.
"I actually am on my way to New York. Did you get Cory's text about Maya?" Josh asked.
"Of course I did. I'm going over as well. Just came to get the girl something. Can't show up at a party with nothing. How do you know about it?" Shawn asked and Josh gave him a look.
"My brother is Cornelius Matthews. How do you think I know?" Josh asked.
"Of course. Didn't know you guys were close," Shawn said.
"She was going through some stuff when I was in New York last week and Cory thought this would be an excellent time for me to tell her how I really feel about her. Or Riley is giving me until tomorrow then she tells her," Josh said.
"What do you feel for her?" Shawn asked.
"Problem is I'm not really sure what I feel for her. I know it isn't just platonic friends anymore but I don't know if I can be in a relationship with the girl. There is nothing wrong with her, believe me. She is great but I don't think she is the... I just don't want to mess with her. My reputation with girls isn't good and I don't want her to be just another victim of mine. I don't."
"Yeah maybe we can figure out if you can feel something for her instead of just being a friend. Something more perhaps. Anyway I have to get the girl something before I leave and I guess that's what you're doing here as well," Shawn said.
"Jewellery is still busy," Josh said.
"What are you getting the girl?" Shawn asked and Josh laughed.
"Wait and see. Listen meet me back here in half an hour then we can go together," Josh said.
"Good idea. Let's do it. See you then."
