Spring quickly came as well as the seasons changing and Maya couldn't be happier to finally be closer to done with school for the year.
Of course there were still a few more months of school but she was pretty much excited to finally be done with most of it.
It was a Friday afternoon and Maya sat looking at how Auggie and Ava was playing while she was waiting for Cory to get back from wherever he needed to go.
She looked at Auggie who just turned seven on the day and smiled as she rubbed his hair.
"Okay, birthday boy. What are we doing besides building this puzzle? We gotta do something for your b-day," Maya said.
"What about TV?" Auggie said and Maya shakes he read as she stands up.
"No," Maya said going to her backpack getting a box out.
"Okay," Maya said sitting down next to Auggie.
"This is for you. I bought it for you last week. Open it up," Maya said as Auggie ripped of the wrapping paper finding a set or cars.
"Thank you, Maya," Auggie said and the door opened.
"Daddy, look what Maya got me," Auggie said.
"Nice cars, Bubba," Cory said as Maya saw Josh.
"Josh," Maya said immediately running into her boyfriends arms making him smile.
"Hey, Gorgeous. How are you?" Josh asked as Maya gave him a quick pick on the lips.
"I'm great. Even more now that you're here. Where are your parents?" Maya asked.
"They're coming later. I actually wanna ask you something. Will you go to homecoming with me next month?" Josh asked.
"Of course I will," Maya said.
