Washington Square Village Apartments.
Maya was sitting in the car in front of the building trying to catch her breathe.
She doesn't have the energy to face her father right now.
Josh took her like he said he would but he could see that she couldn't face him.

"Want me to go in with you?" Josh asked causing Maya to look at him.
"No I'm fine," Maya said and opened the door.
"Good luck," Josh said and Maya climbed out.

She went to the apartment number and knocked on the door.
A woman in her late thirties came out and smiled.

"Maya? Caroline please to meet you. Come in," Caroline said and Maya went in.
"Hi Mrs Hart. Is my father maybe here? I'm supposed to meet him," Maya said.
"Call me Caroline. Even Aunt is okay. Yeah he is. Kermit! Why don't you sit down?" Caroline asked and a man in his late thirties came out.
"Maya I'm glad to see you," Kermit said and Maya took a breathe.

He was acting like he has never spend a day apart from her while she hasn't seen him in ten years.
He expects them to bond over night.
Like that is going to happen.

"Hi," Maya said.
"How are you? I've heard from your mother you are sick," Kermit said.
"I'm fine," Maya said and kept it at small talk before two boy ran out of the blue.

"Let me introduce you. These are my sons, Cole and Cove. Boys this is your sister, Maya," Caroline said.
"I don't have a sister," Cole said while Cove went up to Maya.
"Hey Buddy," Maya said.
"Sister," Cove said as Maya pulled him on her lap.

"Yeah I am. How old are you?" Maya asked.
"Five," Cove said and Maya smiled.
"You're strong to pull him up," Kermit said.
"Not actually. And you Cole? How old are you?" Maya asked.
"I'm turning ten and he's actually turning six," Cole said.
"When?" Maya asked.
"Me in June and he in September," Cole said causing Maya to smile.
"Your sister is actually fifteen years old today," Kermit said.
"Happy Birthday," Cove said giving her a hug.
"Thanks Buddy," Maya said as she started to tear up.

"What about we do something?" Kermit asked.
"I actually have something with my friends. But we could do something now," Maya said.
"You know what. I actually have something for you," Kermit said and gave Maya a present.
"What is it?" Maya asked.
"Open it up," Kermit said.

Maya opened the present revealing a picture of Maya and Katy when she was really little.
About two years or so.
Her dad wasn't around but it was clear that it didn't matter.

"Thank you Dad," Maya said smiling.
"No problem. Can't believe my daughter is fifteen," Kermit said and heard a cry.
"I'll get him," Caroline said.

"It's our newest son," Kermit said.
"How old is he?" Maya asked.
"Just a few weeks. Not very old," Kermit said and Caroline came out with a baby of barely seven weeks.
"Oh my word. He is adorable Dad," Maya said.
