It was around five-thirty.
Everyone was at the Matthews and Maya was just thinking.

"Did Maya tell you about her good grade?" Cory asked.
"No what good grade?" Topanga asked.
"Mr Matthews just gave me an A on a essay. No biggie," Maya said.
"Way biggie. Congratulations Honey. I'm proud of you," Topanga said and Maya suddenly felt weird.

She knew something was about to happen.
She felt very weird and she knew what kind of feeling that was.

"Hello Family."

And there it was.
Joshua Matthews.
The one person who could actually turn her day upside down.
But she wasn't sure what to do.

Maya's pov

My heart stood still when I heard his voice.
Literally.
I don't know how to act around him and I don't think I will ever.
But it's nice having this feeling.
Besides that I act really weird.
I just want to act like a normal girl for once.

Maya sees how Josh greets everyone and takes a deep breathe.
She knows nothing is going to happen.

"Hey Maya. How are you?" Josh asked and gave Maya a quick hug.
"I'm good. What are you doing here?" Maya asked.
"My dad has a few business meetings and of course I have to come with. I thought since he had one nearby I would pop in," Josh said.
"Coffee?"
"That will be nice. Who got a good grade in History?" Josh asked as he looked at the paper laying on the couch.
"Maya," Riley said.
"Will everyone stop making a big deal out of it?" Maya asked.
"Good job Gorgeous," Josh said and Maya went blank.

Maya's pov

I don't think anyone realized but I definitely did.
He made my heart stoop more than a few levels.
It totally sunk.
And I had to make a plan to get out of the situation.

"I have to go," Maya said and was out the door.
"Gorgeous? Really Uncle Josh?" Riley said.
"It's just a nickname. Relax," Josh said.
"Sure you're not falling for her?" Cory asked and Josh went blank.
"Are you out of your mind? She's three years younger than me."
"You know. Mom was seventeen and Dad was twenty when they started to date," Cory said.
"They're three years apart?" Josh asked.
"Yeah. And look at them now. More than forty years later and they're still happy together," Cory said.
"Okay I'll admit it to you three. I have started to show feelings. It's nothing major but I think it's close to what she feels. I don't want her to know just yet," Josh said.
"I'll give you till the 16th to tell her which is her fifteenth birthday. If she doesn't know by then, then I'll tell her. I'm going to call Maya," Riley said.

"I messed up, didn't I?" Josh asked.
"Can't argue with that," Cory said.
