Chapter 24

It was a Thursday afternoon and Maya was in the Matthews house in Philadelphia busy getting ready.
It was truly unbelievable that Josh had asked her two weeks ago to go with him to such an important event in his life and she wouldn't even had missed it for the world.
Of course Maya was nervous that her mother wouldn't have agreed with what she had decided hut she was more than happy to have her daughter have someone like that in her life.

Amy was currently busy helping Maya to curl her hair since she almost never did that.
Maya smiles as Amy drops the curl in her hand allowing it to cool off before it falls into a wafe on Maya's neck.
Maya exhales as she looks over at the dress picked out for her by her best friend definitely not knowing how she could have gotten so far without even having a bit of help from everyone.

"You know it's a bit weird that a high school freshman is going to a senior prom. If maybe that's just me," Amy said.
"Weren't you and Mr Matthews the same?"
"No. I was about... I was in my twenties when me and Alan met," Amy said causing Maya to look at her through the mirror.
"Oh. So this is weird to you?" Maya asked.
"Youre his best friend and the girl he trust his heart with. Think we can trust you as well. Maybe we just need tk be cautious," Amy said as she finished up with Maya's look.

It was later the evening and Josh was pacing up and down the living room as he waited for Maya to actually come out of the room.
She and his mother was busy for literally forever and now he couldn't wait to see her.
He sees his mother coming down the stairs smiling at them as she told Maya to come down.
As she came down Josh could feel a bump in his throat and knew know it was so much more than just a girl.
It was his girlfriend and he loved her more than anything else in the whole universe.
