We followed Gregor, who lead us off the path and over to a huge tree house, wrapping around the biggest jungle tree I'd ever seen.

We began silently climbing up a staircase that coiled around the trunk. Gregor kept glancing into the jungle, where the sunset had begun.

"What's happening?" I whispered to Bradley.

"There's a pack of wolves," he replied incredously. "Did you not see them?"
I shook my head.

Bradley shrugged. "Just keep along, I guess. I think we're spending the night in this tree house."

Which just made me more confused.
How did Gregor know that there was a tree house here?

We soon reached the first room. It was "circular" and hung over the jungle below, where mobs had begun to spawn.

"Sleep in this room for tonight," I told my team, wanting to keep charge despite Gregor being here.

"I'm m going to sleep in a higher room," Gregor said.

"Are you sure?" I asked him.

He nodded, slinging his sword and sheath over his shoulders and continuing up the stairs.

My friends seemed to think nothing of it, getting ready to sleep. I waited, looking out the windows of the tree house room until they all fell asleep.

Then I decided to go after Gregor.

...

"Are you trying to brainwash me?" Ben asked seriously.

After he refused to kill the wolf, Gregor had not so shamefully admitted that the wolf had been a test.

Now they were back in the fortress. Gregor took him to the room where he'd originally woken up.

Gregor said that he wanted to talk to him about something, which only confirmed Ben's suspision that he wasn't really Gregor. This had to be some twisted person only pretending to be his friend.

"Don't trust me?" Gregor asked coldly from across the room.

Ben simply glared out the window to the snowy mountains. "You aren't Gregor. Gregor was a hero. You're a villain."

Ben listened quietly to Gregor's cold laugh. "If you don't believe me, you can call me Greg. Just in case that makes you feel better."

It did, but Ben would never admit it. Calling him "Greg" in his head would be secret.
Greg put his hand on Ben's shoulder. "Notch will make you great too, you know. Just say I'm not a villain."

"I don't think Notch would want me if I were a liar."

Greg pulled away. "Why do you think I'm a villain? I want to kill Herobrine as much as you do."

Ben turned around to look at him. "You're a villain because you're pretending to be a hero."

...

"Gregor?" I asked. The boy was looking over the highest platform of the treehouse, his back to me. This particular tree was much higher than others in the jungle, overlooking the rest of the treetops. By now the sky had grown dark, the lone square moon floating above us.

The boy turned around, his face void of any expression. I saw his sword lying a few blocks away, still in it's sheath.

I nervously walked over to him. "You've probably been through a lot lately," I began.
Gregor nodded.

"I have too," I continued. "I've just been a miner living through Herobrine's reign. And now I have almost too much weight on my shoulders." I exhaled. "And judging from the stories, you did too back when you were 13. How old are you now? 15?"
