"What the nether?" I grumbled.

Everything around me was dark. I felt more cramped than I'd ever been. Was I stuffed in a freaking chest? My whole body felt tight, like I was forced into a ball.

All that I remembered was getting shot in the jungle when I was on a monster hunt.

I left the team! They're all alone! I suddenly thought. No, Gregor would lead them. They were safe. All that needed to happen was for me to figure out what was happening and where.

But maybe later, as I fell asleep again.

When I woke up, I was moving.

Well, sort of. I was still confined in the dark space that I had been in before, but I felt like I was being shaken around.

"What in the name of Notch!" I yelled.
The shaking stopped.

I felt a thud under me and then the weirdest sensation. It felt like I was becoming smalller and smaller and then bigger and bigger. My body was being stretched inside out. And then it ended.

Now I was lying on the floor of a room. I looked up and saw Gregor leaning over me.
"Gregor!" I exclaimed, my voice coarse. "What happened?"

Instead of answering, he grabbed my shoulder and pulled me to my feet.
"When our scouts picked you up I didn't think you'd be so annoying," Gregor snapped, glaring at me.

"Gregor?" I asked, confused. "What's the matter?" I looked around the room. The place where I'd woken up was actually an entrance hall, and a nice one at that.

Except ept there was an out of place chest next to me. A sudden thought came into my mind. Had I somehow been in that chest? Was that the place that I was stuck in?

Gregor twisted an iron sword in his hand. "You as well call me Greg too."

"Gregor..." I said hesitantly, backing up.
"You must have met the other Gregor. He gave you false assumptions of who I am. But he is weak. He will never reach my power."
A terrible thought came to me. What did Gregor say about a clone that would do anything for Notch?

"You're his clone," I whispered.

Terrified, I quickly searched my inventory for my bow. I found my inventory was completely empty. I didn't even know that someone could clear another's inventory.
"Greg" continued to glare at me. He brandished his sword. "I would kill you now if I could, but we'd better wait for your execution."

I gulped and my mind suddenly became aware of everything around me. "My execution?"

"Your's and Ben's. You two will be executed together in two days."

...

Rax was fine with being on his own. Even when Ervin was alive, he spent a lot of his time by himself. One of the greatest things about Ervin was how respective he was of Rax's privacy. Ender wasn't.

The days since he left the group, he hadn't gone back to the Resistance. They wouldn't take him back if he just showed up. What would he even tell them? No, he couldn't go back. Instead, he treked ahead.

His trip through the jungle was lonely, but he liked it that way. It gave him a lot of time to think.

Bradley was a good warrior, he really was, but Rax hated how popular he was. Rax could probably beat him in a fight, but everyone just loved Bradley so much more.
That was why Rax was so determined to get to Ben and rescue him first. Maybe then the Resistance wouldn't only think of him as tha brewer.

It had been 1 full day since the arrival at the surface. Rax was tired of trudging through the jungle, but it had to be done. Sadley, there was no other way.

The mmorning of the second day, Rax woke up full of energy. He felt as if he had just had a golden apple.

Shrugging off the strange feeling, he headed out for the day.s journey.

Rax hefted his axe over his shoulder and began to walk.

Clumps of blocky leaves and tall trees surrounded him as he passed.

Everything seemed to be at an eerie calm, but Rax didn't care. After all, today was a new day.

An ocelot ran in front of Rax and stopped.

Rax stared at it.

It stared at Rax.

Rax decided that the sight of an armoredand axe hefting 16 year old boy was pretty confusing.

"Hey, little guy," Rax cooed in his best friendly voice. Animals in general had never payed him much attention, but cats had allways stood out to him. He frantically searched through his inventory for a raw fish.

He ound one in a small corner. It had probably been there for the last month, but he was sure the ocelot wouldn't mind. "Do you like fish?"

The feline purred. Rax gave him the fish. Instantly hearts flew up from behind the cat and its skin changed to a dark black color.
"Nice!" Rax smiled. The cat jumped up onto his armored shoulder and rubbed against his cheek. "I'll call you Watson," the boy said with a grin.

Rax began to continue on his journey, in a lighter mood than before.

Perhaps he could have good luck.

...

I was put into a dark and damp cell with nothing to occupy me but my thoughts. As far as I knew, my cell was deep below whatever fortress I was being held in and Ben could be anywhere in here.

I didn't care that I was being held hostage. It just brought me closer to finding Ben. I couldn't give up on my mission.

Another idea sulked in the corner of my mind. Who was the one that shot me? They spoke as I fell, I remembered. They said something about wanting to find me. I was sure it wasn't Greg; I hadn't recognized the voice.

How many more warriors did Notch have?
Actually, thinking about it, I didn't want to know.
