My Fight

"I got you, Zara!" I heard as I opened my optics and saw my Dad holding onto the roof for dear life while keeping his grip tight on my arm plates. "Hold on!"

"The only way to stop this thing is to destroy it!" I shouted while tightening my grip on my Dad's arm. "I got to do it from here!"

"Be careful!" Dad said before I nodded and I raised my arm to take a careful aim. I didn't have a second thought before I blasted at the magnet, causing it to explode and drop us. We were falling fast to the ground and I used my arms to shield myself from impact to the ground. But instead of me feeling the ground, I felt metal. At first, I thought it was one of the Dinobots, but when I got up, I saw it was my Dad.

"Jeez, Dad. You just want to get crushed today, don't you?" I joked while helping him up. "I would have laughed at your joke, Zara, but this is no laughing matter."

I nodded, immediately getting back into focus mode and I looked for Cade and the others.

"Guys! This thing is blinking! I don't know what it's suppose to mean!" Joyce shouted when he approached at my ped with the seed in his arms.

"We have to get it out of the city right now." I said before Bumblebee approached.

"Bumblebee, take the seed, the humans, and Zara out of the city now." Dad ordered as I shook my helm.

"No way! I'm not going!"

"You have to go, Zara. For your own safety." I looked at my servos before clenching them. "Dad, I am not going to sit on the side and watch you get hurt by Lockdown. I know what he can do, and I'm not doubting you. But you'll need help and you got me. Besides, we have to stick together. We've been separated before, I can't have us separate again."

"Lordes' right, Prime." Alice said as she hopped in with Raquel. How did they get here so fast? Wait, where have they been!? "Lockdown wants us to separate. He wants us to, so he can kill you. I'm not going to let you die, Prime. You're my best friend's Dad and I would hate to see anything happen to you to affect her. So, we need to stick together to end this."

Dad vented before looking at Alice then at me. I nodded in agreement to Alice's statement before he looked at the ground.

"I've been waiting for so long to fight alongside my daughter." Dad began as I furrowed my eye ridges. "But I never thought it would be this moment. If you truly desire to fight Lockdown, then I will not stop you. But I will remind you to-"

"Be careful. I know, Dad. And I know you'll do the same because I'll have your back. This is as much of my fight as it is yours." I finished before Dad smiled and transformed into his vehicle mode. I soon transformed too, but before I pulled off, I heard a knock on my passenger door.

"I'm coming with you." Cade said while opening it. "No, Cade."

"No, Dad. Don't go. Please." Tessa begged while Cade hopped in. "Tessa, promise me you won't follow. Okay? I'll be back. Just don't follow. I'll be okay."

"Dad, I'm scared." Tessa admitted before Cade got up and kisses his daughter on the forehead. "I know you are, sweetie, but I have to do this. I'll be back before you know it. I promise."

And with that, Cade got into my vehicle mode and Dad and I drove off.

"You okay, Cade?"

"I'll be fine. I just..fear for Tessa. She's so innocence and scared. I.." Cade trailed before grasping the alien gun tightly.

"Not a lot of people can express their fear for others' safeties. I remember I feared my Dad's safety back on Cybertron before the war started. I remember how afraid I was that he wouldn't return from battle. That I was going to hear that he was gone. Why, you may ask? Lot of sparklings like myself came home and found that no one their families ever returned from the war because they were either dead or captured. There was nothing we could do to help because we were so young. But I can understand your concern and I'm sure Bumblebee will look after Tessa until you get back." I assured while Cade nodded and leaned back in the seat.

"I just want to come back home to my daughter and possibly, the love of my life." I wanted to hit my brakes and squeal in excitement but I was not in a very good position to do so.

"Wait, are you talking about my old elementary teacher?" I clarified as Cade's face went a bright red.

"Um..yeah?"

"I knew it!"
