Never Give Up

It felt like they were driving for hours. Zara had a gut feeling something was about to happen. She didn't know what, but she knew Lockdown was going to pull something. And her theory was correct when Optimus and herself pulled into the plant and explosions began to erupt from the ground. Zara immediately transformed and held Cade to her shoulderplate while she backed away from it, along with Optimus.

"Optimus!" They heard as the three looked up and saw Lockdown falling from his ship and to the ground. "Zara! Get behind me!" Zara did just that and hid behind her father as Lockdown began to approach. Zara immediately began to feel frightened. As much as she was willing to fight Lockdown, she was just getting use to her new body. She felt she was ready.

"Aw. Isn't this special? A family reunited. Well, almost." Lockdown stated before attacking Optimus. Zara moved out of the way of the attack before she grabbed her blaster from off her back.

"Woah, woah, wait! When did I get my own blaster?!" Zara whisper shouted to herself which Cade heard.

"Figure that out later! Let's help your dad!" Cade shouted before he began to fire at Lockdown. Zara nodded before aiming her fires on him, too. As they fired, they didn't notice that Bumblebee had pulled in until they saw the yellow and black Camaro zoom under Lockdown and trip him.

"It's Bumblebee!" Zara said out of excitement before Cade followed her gaze. "I swear, Tessa never listens to me. Never."

"Hey, that's what teenagers do!" Zara joked before she continued to fire. When Bumblebee came to a stop, Tessa, Shane, and Raven hopped out of him and ran to a safe distance before Bumblebee struck at Lockdown again.

"No, Bumblebee! This is my fight!" Optimus shouted but was strikes in the face by Lockdown. "No, this is my fight, Prime! And you all will die!"

"I have to help him." Raven said once she looked over from the hiding place at the scene.

"No! You'll die out there! Don't!" Tessa pleaded as Raven looked back at her. "I have to try. I look up to Prime. He's like a father to me. More than my real father would have ever been. I'm not going to let anything happen to him. I'm sorry."

"Wait!" But it was too late. Raven had stepped out hiding and ran towards the fight. Zara had just ran towards Lockdown and attacked him after he pinned her father with his sword. She jumped on his shoulder plates and stabbed him in the neck cables with her blade.

"Nobody messes with my family!" She shouted before she back flipped him to the ground. "I don't how many more times I got to tell people that!"

"You talk too much, femme. I should cut your vocal box out." Lockdown threatened before he used his blaster and shot at her. Zara tried to avoid it but it came too fast and she was shot hard in the shoulderplate.

"No!" Optimus shouted from afar.

"Lordes!" Cade shouted as Zara rolled on her back in pain. Zara looked up and saw Lockdown smirking down at her.

"Got anything else to say?"

"Yeah. Fuck off, Lockdown." Zara whispered painfully before Lockdown glared and used his blade and stabbed her in her wound. Zara screamed in pain, grasping the blade trying to pull it out.

"Hey!" They heard as Lockdown looked towards the ground. Raven stood not too far from him, her eyes glowed a bright red in anger. She raised her arm and large metal beams were shot at him. Lockdown pulled the blade out of Zara's shoulder and began to slice the beams with it. Zara screamed again when he did and watched a large amounts of blue liquid poured out of her shoulder.

Energon.

"Come on, Zara. Come on. You got this." Zara muttered to herself before she got up quickly in pain and tackled Lockdown to the ground.

"Zara! Watch out!" Zara heard as she looked to see Cade with his alien gun aimed. Zara quickly backed away before Cade began to fire it again. "Help Prime! I got this!"

Zara was hesitant, but knew it would be quick to get to her father then they both deal with Lockdown. So Zara went over to her dad who was struggling to get himself free. But the sword had pinned him good.

"Zara! You must go now!" Optimus said as Zara grasped the sword tightly and began to pull. "Zara-!"

"No, Dad! I've ran for too long! I'm not running again! I'm not a coward! And I'm sure as hell won't let you die here! I've already lost my human parents, I'm not losing my real dad!" Zara cried out with energon tears rolling down her face in the process. "Now, stop being so stubborn and let me help you get out of this so you can finish your fight!"
