Old Friend

"Optimus, I'm gonna go find the others!" Lordes shouted to Optimus before she blasted at an incoming bot.

"Be careful, Lordes." Optimus said as she nodded. Before she could leave, another makeshift bot came up behind Optimus.

"Watch out!" Lordes shouted before flying his head and blasting the bot from under. When the bot hit the ground, Lordes looked at Optimus and gave a thumbs up before leaving. Lordes ran through the debris, looking for Cade and the others. Her mind went racing a hundred miles while searching.

All of a sudden, a blast went off. Lordes looked up and saw debris falling towards her and blasted it as much as she could, but there was too much.

For a moment, time seemed to slow down for Lordes as she watched the debris continue to get closer and closer to her. She heard Optimus shout something but she was too in shock to do anything but watch. Then out of nowhere, red flares began to surround the debris like a net and it stopped mid air. Lordes blinked a couple of times before she looked around and saw a girl about her form's age using, what she believes, is telekinesis.

"Come..on! Quick!" She struggled to say as Lordes ran quicker away from the building. She watched as the mysterious girl struggled to keep the debris afloat and eventually through the debris behind her which hit a group of makeshift bots. Lordes stared at them wide eyes before looking back at the girl.

"How did you do that?" Lordes asked as the girl looked back at her.

"No time for explanation. I need to get you to Cade and the others." The girl said as she practically dragged Lordes away. "Wait..Cade and the others are here?!"

"Yes. Come on! There's no time!" The girl shouted before dragging Lordes off again. "I knew you were coming, I had to be sure. They're in here." The girl said while kicking down a door and running through, Lordes following close behind.

"Lordes!" She heard as she looked up and saw Cade and Tessa swarm at her and embrace her with hugs. "It's so good to see you guys. I couldn't find you guys and I got worried."

"We're fine. It's all thanks to the new girl." Shane said before Lordes looked back and saw the girl from earlier remove her hood.

"Okay, now can I get an explanation?!" Lordes exclaimed as the girl looked through the dusty curtains in the room. "Well, to top everything off, I'm from Cybertron just like you. I'm not sure if you remember me, but we fought alongside in combat during the war and we grew up together."

"I don't understand. Who are you?" Lordes asked as the girl looked at her, her eyes glowing a reddish pink as she did.

"It's me, Raven."

I was ready. I was. I couldn't believe nobody else thought the same, too. I get my father wants me to be safe. He doesn't want me to get hurt. But I want to help him in the field. I want to take down Decepticons, so that we won't have to live in fear anymore.

But, like as always, my father won't allow it. He thinks I shouldn't worry and that I have bots to protect me.

I don't need protection!

"You're right. You don't." I heard as I jumped and looked up to see Raven approaching. "You okay?"

"No. I just wish my dad could let me into the field. He's taught me everything I need to know. I know I'm ready. And I know he knows it too. So why do I feel like he's just trying to push me away?" I said as Raven shook her head and sat down at the edge with me.

"He's not trying to push you away. He just wants you to be safe. He doesn't want to go through another tragedy. Like he has before." Raven said quietly as I looked at her. "What do you mean 'another tragedy'?"

Raven looked away and towards the sun before she vented softly.

"He's lost someone that he considered a friend. He was your father's mentor, Alpha Trion. He took Optimus Prime under his wing and he taught him everything. But he didn't get to finish teaching him. Megatron and a group of Decpeticons broke in the Iacon Hall and slaughtered Alpha Trion. Optimus was devastated so much that he had to make sure nothing horrible like that happens to you. That's why he's not allowing you to join in the field. He doesn't want you to get killed." Raven assured as I looked down at my servos and twiddled with them. She's right. My father would do anything to protect me. I'm his daughter.

Even if it meant I had to give up my dreams of battling alongside my father, which I can understand.

"You're right. It's just..I want to be like you, Rav." I admitted as she rubbed the small of my back.

"Hey, don't feel bad. At least, you'll get to see Grimlock go head to head with Stringray tomorrow. I gotta miss it." Raven said with a slight pout on her face. I giggled softly before shaking my head.

"Yeah, well, just kill some Decepticons for me tomorrow. Okay?"

"That was right before we had be sent off world. Optimus had no choice but to put on the field. He knew you had the experience, the potential, everything. But if I had help out like I could, maybe Cybertron would still be standing. I don't know." The girl, Raven, said as Lordes stared at her in sympathy.

"Well, you were injured. There was nothing you could do." She said as Raven nodded.

"I just felt like I could have done mo-" Raven was cut off by a blast, causing the roof of the building to go flying off and standing above them was a makeshift bot of Stinger.

"What the hell, bro?! How many of these things are there?!" Lordes shouted while blasting at it.

"Well, you just made that 30 out of the 50 that I created  that you killed." Joyce said simply as Lordes' eyes went wide.

"50!?!"
