Franki's POV

Sumabay sya sakin pauwi, pero gaya nga ng nakasanayan na namin pumupunta muna kami kung saan saan bago umuwi sa bahay.

At ngayon, napagkasunduan naming pumunta sa tabing ilog sa ilalim ng isang tulay na hindi naman madalas pinupuntahan ng mga tao. Masyado kasing liblib ang lugar na to at pinapalibutan ng mga puno kaya malamig.

Nakaupo lang kami dun. Suot suot ang school uniform namin.

"Bakit may mga taong hindi nagkakatuluyan sa huli?." Tanong ko kay Diana.

"There are two types of lovers. One is just high and realizes how stupid they were the next day. The other is sober, where the person is well aware of their feelings and actions. But I think it's really rare for people to be sober when they're in love."

"What type are you?."

"I think I'm the high one. I always do stupid things for love. How about you Franki?."

"I'm sober."

"Why?."

"Because you're high. One of us has to be wide awake. You can't be both high in a relationship you know, you need atleast one sober to realize that it's time for saving."

"Saving what?."

"The most powerful pronoun."

"What's that?."

"Us."

"What?."

"I mean, our friendship. It is a platonic relationship right?. So if you're gonna be stupid in a lot of things, I had to be the rational one who would wake you up and tell you that sometimes, stupidity has its limit. And that type of love that wakes people up from their bad deeds, that's what a sober lover does."

"But we're not lovers naman Franki haha."

"Platonic or romantic, they have the same value Diana. So ano?. Gigising ka naba to keep the most powerful pronoun?."

"Thank you for waking me up." She smiled as she held up the anchor necklace I gave her. I did the same, smiling back at her.

Then bigla nyang hinuhubad ang damit nya.

"A-anong ginagawa mo besh?." I panicked.

"Na miss ko na to. Hindi na kasi tayo nakakapagnight swimming."

"Pero it's still 6, baka may makakita satin."

"Padilim na oh. Sige na, maliligo na yaaan." She said unbuttoning my blouse.

"Sige na, eto na. Kaya ko naman eh." Sabi ko at naghubad na nga ako at sabay na kaming tumakbo papunta sa tubig. Grabeee, sobrang lamig.

Namiss ko to. Nag splash pa s'ya ng tubig sakin sabay tawa na parang bata. Pero natutuwa nalang akong tingnan sya na ganun.
