"I informed the EVP that I'm having my classes every morning. He advised me to meet him in the afternoon, instead." sagot ni Mia.
Tumawag na Si Ms. Johnsons sa intercom.
"Sir, Ms. Altamirano has already arrived."
"Please let her in. Thank you." saad ng EVP.
"Good morning, Sir." pormal na bati ni Mia.
"Good morning. Holidays are coming we have to meet so much deadlines. So i have to make sure that we are giving the best quality works to our clients. In line with this, you are going to submit your accomplished tasks to me in person." saad ng EVP.
"Sir, you are aware that I live in Massachusetts which is 3hrs away from here. I won't be able to meet all my deadlines if I will have to commute everyday just to submit my projects." sagot ni Mia.
"I know Ms. Altamirano. The company will provide you a company car and a driver to fetch you everyday." saad ng EVP.
Mia's P.O.V.
Ano na naman itong pauso mo Rui? Bakit bigla-biglang naging pahirapan ang trabaho ko dito?
"Sir, it will still be difficult for me to travel 6 hours back and forth everyday. I might have no other choice but to give up my job." sagot ni Mia.
"You don't have to drastically make a decision like that. We can also provide a condo unit for you so you won't have to travel far everyday." depensa ni Rui.
"Sir afraid I can't accept your offer. This might give a bad impression on my part. Giving a condo unit to me might be too much for just a common employee." sagot ni Mia.
"This offer is not coming from me. This is the decision of the board. You don't have to worry about negative impressions. So please take the offer." sagot ni Rui.
Rui's P.O.V.
Ito lang ang tanging paraan para hindi mo ako maitaboy sa buhay mo. Pinagsisisihan ko na naduwag ako na ipaalam sayo kung gaano kta kamahal.
"Then, ok. I'll accept the offer." sagot ni Mia.
"Ms. Johnsons will give you all the details." Sabi ni Rui at tumawag na siya sa intercom para i-orient ang sekretaya nya.
"I am going to show you your new place." sabi ni Ms. Johnsons.
Pagdating sa magiging condo unit nya.
"Here we are." sabi ni Ms. Johnsons.
Inikot ni Mia ang buong unit.
"Is there anything wrong? You look so bothered." tanong ni Ms. Johnsons na may halong concern.
"Nothing. I'm just worried that this is too much for me." sagot ni Mia.
"Young lady, you are not to worry about people around you. You deserve this incentive because you are doing your job well. The company is just bringing you back the favor." sagot ni Ms. Johnsons nh nakangiti.
"Thank you, Ms. Johnsons." sabi ni Mia.
"Just call me Vicky." sagot ulit ni Ms. Johnsons na nkangiti.
Umuwi muna si Mia para ipaalam sa kanyang tito at tita na lilipat na siya sa bago niyang condo. Nalungkot ang kanyang Tita Thalia nang malaman na aalis na siya sa bahay ng mga ito.
"Tita, I will visit you very often. Don't be sad anymore." sabi ni Mia.
"We will miss you a lot, Mia." sagot ni Tita Thalia.
