Vile Exile

Chapter Four

Authors PoV

Sage sat on top of Aiden Hindes rooftop, his hood pulled over shadowing his face from any passing civilians, it was a mission specially for Levi and Sage, using their stealth skills as an advantage. Sage's gaze fell on Levi who is currently laying on his stomach with his sniper pressed against his shoulder, his cheek pushed against the stock whilst he glared down the scope at where the target is said to be heading, Sage's sword clasped tightly in the palm of his hand, Sage could hear Levi's steady breathing in his ear due to the coms "Don't get impatient now Colhart." Sage whispers into the com before being flipped off by the sharp-shooter who's still looking down the scope "Harsh" Sage gasps sarcastically.

As the target came into Levi's view, Sage prepared to jump den but came to a grinding halt as he watches Levi raise his hand "Hold on." Levi says into the com, Sage sheathed his sword immediately after realising what Levi was so concerned about, the target, Aiden Hindes had a sharp knife pressed against a civilians stomach "Take the shot Levi." Sage murmurs into the com, the sharp-shooter's finger moving so it's lightly pressing the trigger, the steady breathing of Levi invading Sage's ears until the silver haired males eyes fall perfectly on the targets head and the light press turns into a harsh one and the bullet cuts through the air and pierces straight into the temple of the target, the knife falling out of his hand and onto the floor just like his body, the civilian quickly runs towards her friends and/or family in fear as Sage stands and turn just as Levi does "Target terminated." Levi says as they run away.

the two contracted killers entered the accommodation, the three others and Governor Natalia Falit look over with interest on how the mission went "Aiden Hindes is officially dead." Sage says as he looks to Levi who's holding his sniper tightly in his hands "I assume it went smoothly." Natalia says earning a shake of the head from the two, Hugo immediately scowls "The plan was Sage would be the one to kill him but he saw Sage and held a hostage. I took him out with my sniper and the hostage was sparred." Levi explains with ease, Amanda smirking at the slight emotion Levi is showing "Good work, make sure to submit your reports." Natalia says as she turns and exits the kitchen leaving the assault squad standing in silence.

Sage treaded through the headquarters, deciding not to stay in the accommodation because of the annoying attitudes Amanda and Balthazar are showing off and the irritation level of Levi higher than usual "Sorry Sir this is higher access only." A beat-soldier says to sage as He attempts to enter the research laboratory He scowls "Sir, I am going to have to ask you to leave." The beat-soldier continues when Sage doesn't respond, as the soldier reaches for his gun he stood as Governor Heathcliff approaches the two "Private Gooding, show some respect to your superiors." Heathcliff says sternly, the soldiers eyebrows raising as he stares at me "This is The Azure Swordsman, CK Sage Kageyama." He continues, Private Gooding's eyes immediately shooting open he bows and closes his eyes tightly "Please accept my sincerest apology Sir, I didn't realise you was a CK." He basically shouts at sage, raising my hands Sage shakes my head "Don't worry about it, I'm not wearing my jacket." Sage replies, a sigh of relief escaping the private's mouth as Heathcliff opens the laboratory door he gestures for Sage to pass through first.

Whilst the two walked on through the research labs, sage looked around with interest at the different experiments taking place "For someone known as the Azure Swordsman, you sure go easy on your inferiors." Heathcliff finally says as they reach the main lab, Sage shrugs and tucks his hands into his pockets "I was exiled for who I am. I find it disgusting using your superiority to its advantages." The swordsman responds as he rests his hand on the holster that's holding one of his guns "Exiled for a vile reason? So you could say it was a Vile Exile." He replies, nodding Sage stops dead in his tracks as his eyes fall on a familiar sniper "That's Levi's." Sage mumbles, Heathcliff nodding as he enters the room he looks closely at the weapon "A sniper possessed by a lightning demon." Heathcliff responds as he inhales he smirks "Only Levi can touch the sniper, the demons name-" He begins as Sage steps forward "Meliora." Sage interrupts, earning a confused noise from Heathcliff "I can hear her." Sage explains as he leans down towards the sniper he hums "Meliora Gold." He says before turning and walking towards the exit, leaving Heathcliff staring in shock.

The sound of Sage's footsteps echoed through the house as he entered the accommodation early in the morning. The tour of the laboratory went on a little longer then the swordsman expected and feared for his life if he woke Levi or Amanda. To his dismay as he entered the kitchen a familiar sharp-shooter was sat at the kitchen table, his head rested on his forearm as he snored quietly "Levi?" Sage asks as he pokes the silver haired males cheek, the swordsman immediately jumping back as Levi sat up and pointed his handgun at Sage "Where..- where on earth have you been?" Levi asked the startled swordsman who's relaxed now "The tour of the Laboratory took a little longer than expected. Sorry." Sage replies as he sits down at the table, Levi leant back in the chair and grabbed the plate of food that was sat under a hand towel "Hugo saved you dinner." He says emotionlessly as he set the plate of grilled pork in front of Sage, a few vegetables and three roast potato's nestled next to the pork "Thanks..." sage murmured as he pushes the food around with his fork "You already ate?" Levi asks, an unimpressed look present on his face "Heathcliff offered me food and I couldn't say no to one of the Governors Levi." Sage retaliates sternly.

Unbeknownst to the two assault members, Amanda, Balthazar and Hugo stood around the corner of the staircase watching as Levi interacted with Sage with emotion, not just a deadpan look and tone "Is he actually smiling...?" Amanda asks Balthazar who nods, his mouth open slightly due to his shock "this swordsman has a weird effect on Levi. Is Levi... gay...?" Hugo asks quietly, the two others looking to the handler with a look of confusion "You seriously didn't know?" Amanda asks, the mage rolling his eyes as he walks up the stairs "You tell me how your suppose to know an expressionless guy is gay." Hugo defends.

It didn't take long for the rising sun to glimmer through the kitchen window, Levi asleep with his head rested on his forearm, Sage asleep leant back into the kitchen chair, his hand rested wrapped around the handle of his dagger, Mekhai "Isn't this a sight for sore eyes." The sound of Amanda's voice awoke the two who groaned in unison with one and other as they both sat upright "It's too early..." Sage grumbles as he stands and stretches, he feels a bit of blue napalm dribble down the side of his mouth "oh that's new..." Balthazar murmurs as he points to the napalm Sage wipes it away with the back of my hand immediately "It's nothing." Sage replies sternly before standing and walking towards the exit, Levi's tired eyes focused on Sage as he leaves silently.

The tension in Sage's hand as moved up to his wrist now as he lugged his Azure sword, Lucinda, towards one of the delinquents who block it immediately with their daggers which are breaking under the strength of Lucinda "You won't win this, Frontline scum!" The delinquent spits at Sage who shrugs and kicks him away, regaining his composure he moved his sight down towards his other sword, a long pitch black sword with a cross engraved on the handle "I need ten!" Sage shouts into the coms subconsciously as he jumps back, it was unusual that the assault squad had trouble dealing with species like this, but with Alyonie's knowledge of Sage's presence on Jistilen, his men were getting stronger and Sage didn't like it at all.

As Sage unsheathed Divya, holding the black sword in his left hand whilst still holding Lucinda in his right he stretches and lets out a roar of anger before taking off in a sprint towards the criminals who's eyes widen at the sudden burst of energy radiating off of Sage. Levi, positioned on top of a building, rested his cheek against the stock whilst looking down the scope at Sage, shooting off any predators that sage doesn't have time to deal with "This is unacceptable." Hugo grumbles as he holds off a criminal, Balthazar nods in agreement as does Amanda "Alyonie is taking the piss now." Balthazar responds as he swings his sword at a criminal, Sage continuing on with his rampage "At least the Azure Swordsman is having fun." Amanda smiles as she leans back "Psychotic." Levi murmurs as he watches the Bealayion.

After Sage finished off the remaining criminal He dropped Lucinda and Divya and fell to his knees, the pressure of restraining his power eating away at him slowly "Sage are you okay? You didn't get hit did you?" Hugo asks as he approaches the swordsman in concern "I'm fine..." Sage whispers, holding back the urge to vomit blue napalm, he stands and grips the wall. Levi watching silently from the building he furrows his brows before turning and running towards the exit.
