Chapter Thirty-three

Authors PoV

As Sage and Bonita followed Gina, Levi passed out unconscious in Sage's arms, the hallways were abandoned, not a single soldier stood guard, no one walked through the hallways attempting to speak to a higher up or a commander. It felt weird and then suddenly Gina stopped, she stood completely still whilst Bonita and Sage stood silently behind her, Sage tightening his embrace around Levi "a more quieter place to speak about your origins and abilities." She says suddenly before turning to face the two, including Levi.

Bonita and Sage didn't know what to say, She seemed furious at first but as she stood there facing them, her face calm and collected, her eyes full of peace "So your both Bealayion?" She asks, Sage and Bonita nodding in return as they glance to each other "Why are you here? Bealaye is one of the three legendary Planets." She responds, her arms folded over her chest now "we were exiled because of what and who we are. Being a one in a million is considered vile back there, We are considered part of the devils work." Bonita explains before pointing to Sage "He is one of the devils work. I am made of the goddesses." She continues, Sage rolling his eyes as he constantly glances down to Levi "A demon and a Goddess dragon. And you don't both hate each other?" She asks, sage shaking his head now "We we're both exiled because of the same reason. We are two in the same boat." He says, Bonita nodding as they stand next to each other "Sure her light does burn me, and my darkness shadows her. But we are strong, we can handle each other's powers." He continues, the council member nodding "And what are you doing in the frontlines?" She asks.

"The same as you. Hoping to destroy Damion Goddard."

Those words struck Gina an incredible amount. The name of the strongest villain, the name of the worst and most violent man in the galactic history. But the governors were right. Having two One in a millions on their side would boost their chances of defeating him by an incredible amount. "You know Damion Goddard?" Gina asks after regaining her composure, the two nodding in response "Doesn't everybody know of Damion Goddard. He's a monster." Bonita retaliates shocking Gina ever so slightly "Yes, though that may be true, he isn't the one pulling the strings. He acts as if he's the head of his little organisation, he's not. Bethany Hotch is." She explains, the two dragons nodding in response "A man controlling such a violent and huge organisation wouldn't put himself out in front like he does." Sage hums "Alright. You two are off the hook about not telling me what and who you both are. But now, if anything important happens it goes straight to me now, not to the governors." She says as she turns and begins walking away "How do we contact you?" Bonita shouts, the council member stopping "Ask Natalia." She returns before continuing to walk away.

With Levi knocked out, Sage had decided to leave asking Natalia about Gina to Bonita, he was more concerned about whether or not his boyfriend was going to be okay. It was wrong of them to use Arzan for an endurance test - having the ability to control a pure blood demon was dangerous. Sage didn't like it one bit, a pure blood demon isn't like Sage, They typically don't have morals, Arzan was different but that's beside the point.

Sage's PoV

Holding Levi whilst he rests in my lap, his head rested on my abdomen, my eyes shoot open as his begin to crack open slightly "Your awake..." I whisper, watching a small smile spread across his face he nestles his head possibly to get comfier "How'd it go...? With Gina I mean.." he says, his voice quiet as if he had just been hanging onto his life by a thread "it went well. But you need to rest Levi, Stop speaking." I return, running the pad of my thumb across his cheek gently he closes his eyes again "You idiot" He murmurs before passing out, smiling I lay him on his bed carefully, pulling the blanket up to his shoulders "Says the one." I retaliate as I turn, I slump into the desk chair, my jaw clenched tightly.

Clenching my fists as I stand in the kitchen, Hugo and Balthazar enter lazily, Amanda upstairs sleeping "Levi still unconscious?" Hugo asks, exhaling I tilt my head up slightly "Yeah, I'm surprised both of you are up and moving around. It looked as if you guys had a really rough time with that endurance test." I return, hearing Balthazar scoff he shakes his head and waves his hand "Don't fool yourself Sage, We're tough, unlike Amanda" He chuckles, nodding I wave my hand back at him "You were both on the floor screaming in pain" I laugh, hearing a creak from the stairs, Levi enters, his hand pressed to the doorframe holding him up "Levi!" I shout running towards him I hold him tightly "I'm fine..." He growls, sighing I roll my eyes, still gripping onto him for support "What are you three talking about?" He asks, scowling I let him walk over to the table "The endurance test." Balthazar says as he sits opposite Levi "You got it pretty bad as well Levi." Hugo states, Levi's brows furrowing "as well?" He asks, shaking my head I stand, looking at my screen I sigh "Ill catch you later babe, I have a meeting with Gina." I grumble, kissing his cheek before turning and exiting.

Authors PoV

The room was silent. The air stood still as Natalia leant with her back against the door, Gina sat calmly at the desk, her arms folded over her chest and Sage sat swinging on the chair at the same desk as Gina. No words were spoken and a sudden knock at the door Nat was leaning on shocked them slightly "It's Bonita!" A familiar white haired dragon shouts, Natalia stepping up properly and opening the door to reveal the stunning goddess Bealayion "Good evening sweethearts!" She chirps as she enters the room happily, Sage stands "So, What's this meeting about?" He asks, his voice stern and bold compared to how he speaks to Levi "Juanita Roller." Gina says finally.

Everything about that name clearly sent chills through Sage's body, his eyes snapped open at that name and his body became tense "We know Juanita is in contact with Damion. We just don't know where she stands on his priority list." Natalia explains as she walks over to Gina Sage scratches his jaw uneasily "I don't think you'll ever know. Not to rain on your parade but Juanita will never reveal her business with Damion, she's not the type to talk." Sage returns, their eyes widening as they turn to face him "So this meeting was pointless." Bonita murmurs, sage raising his hand "Not exactly. You won't get anything out of Juanita, that may be true. But it's good to know that the two are acquainted. That means that even the big boss interacts with small foot-soldiers." Sage continues before standing, Gina and Natalia scowl "Meeting adjourned." He continues, the two higher-ups frowning "You can't decide that. But your right, it's good to know they are in contact." Gina says "Meeting adjourned." Natalia says now, repeating Sage's words.

Sage Stretching as he approaches the house, Bonita stops beside him "I'll see you tomorrow loser." She laughs as she pushes him "Whatever bastard." He scoffs back at her, causing her to laugh.

Sage's PoV

Walking into Levi's room I yawn as I pull my jacket off I drape it on the back of his desk chair, pulling my shirt off and kicking my trousers off I lift the blanket before climbing into bed beside him, watching as he turns to face me, his eyes creaked open slightly he squints at me "Was your meeting a success?" He asks, his voice strained slightly due to just waking up "I guess. I'll tell you about it in the morning." I grumble as I wrap my arms around his waist he moves so he's lied on top of me "You look so grumpy" he chuckles, sighing I nuzzle his cheek "I'm tired, I just wanna sleep." I mumble, his hands resting on my chest "I love you" He says gently as he lays his head on my chest I close my eyes and smile warmly "I love you too, loser." I breath.
