The mission was simple, scope out the group attached to Alyonie, if possible, kill the leader. It was Sage's first mission back after the incident last week, things were still quite tense and after Levi and his Confessions about their lives to each other, the two haven't spoken. As Levi lied on his stomach, his finger rested on the trigger gently, no pressure whatsoever was used, his eyes followed the movement of Sage who was talking to a stranger, the discussion between the two looked comfortable, not enough that they knew each other but a few laughs could be seen and Sage was stood with a cheerful posture despite his naturally rough and angry look.
Levi could see the light stubble forming on the swordsman's jaw, giving the sharp-shooter some form of clarification that Sage wasn't as happy as he makes out to be. He was also developing black circles under his eyes showing the lack of sleep he's getting, this bothered Levi, he wasn't okay with Sage beating himself up about what happened last week. And yes, Levi would've happily beaten up Sage when the incident first broke out but after hearing that the swordsman understands how he feels, Levi has gained a form of obsessiveness and want for Sage to be happy. And Levi thought he had a nice smile so it's a win-win situation.
Being completely lost in thought about the swordsman, Levi hadn't noticed the signal Hugo was giving from the roof across from him "Levi!" Hugo shouts into the com, shocking the sharp-shooter slightly who jolts upwards and immediately looks down the scope "Sorry." Levi apologises before settling his sight on the target, He notices the thumbs up Sage is giving him from the sidelines before pulling the trigger, the bullet cutting through the air almost visibly, it strikes the target directly in the temple, his body going limp as he falls to the ground and the group around his disburses "Kill confirmed. Move." Amanda says as the squad begins walking away, Levi's mouth dries as he remembers he lost focus during a mission.
As he sat in the corner of the train carriage, his left leg crossed over his right, his jaw rested on his knuckles, he watches as the countryside passes by in a sort of blur, jerking slightly as Sage dives down on the seat opposite him, the sharp-shooter scowls heavily as he sends a glare Sage's way "Don't look so depressed. You got to snipe someone today, I'd say that's a win." Sage chuckles as he sits upright, he folds his arms over his chest "I lost focus. It was a miracle I got to snipe anyone at all." Levi response, a slight anger and sadness present in his voice "Your only human." The swordsman responds smugly earning a heartfelt scoff from the marksman "I'm not though. I'm not human at all. I am an Eagle." Levi returns sternly, not an ounce of happiness or joy in his face whatsoever "You lost focus Levi, you didn't shoot an angel." Sage replies after realising just how serious Levi is "I could've very well have messed up that mission Kageyama. Have you any idea how that feels?" Levi responded sternly, his eyes serious and frustrated as Sage stared at him.
Back at the household of the six contracted killers, Levi currently sat at the kitchen table with his left leg crossed over his right, his right hand rested on his knee as he read over a book "Levi, your not cleaning Meliora?" The silver-haired males attention was caught by Hugo who was now stood by the refrigerator holding a carton of milk "I wanted to read. I don't deserve Meliora's mightiness at this point in time." Levi responded bluntly, confusion washing over Hugo's facial features Amanda and Balthazar entered the kitchen "Deserve meliora's mightiness.. Levi your the best sharp-shooter Jistilen has ever seen." Hugo retaliates, frustration and anger radiating off of the small marksman as he slams his book closed "I am not-!" He begins to rant before a hand grabs the collar of his shirt and pulls him off of the chair, his book falling off his lap, his eyes wide as he stares at Sage who looks as if he's about to burst a blood vessel "Stop beating yourself up dammit! It was a slight slip up, it couldn't have been prevented!" Sage shouts at the smaller male angrily, his voice full of anger and wrath as blue flames rippled off of his shoulders "it could've if I wasn't thinking about you!" Levi responded, the entire room falling silent as the marksman's cheeks lit up like glow sticks "I- I was just thinking about how strong and strategic you are!" Levi defends, his voice stammering uneasily, a few sniggers escaping the other killers, immediately being silenced when the silver-haired male shot a death glare at them all.
Sage's hand quickly unraveled from Levi's shirt causing the smaller boy to fall to the ground uneasily, as Levi scrambled to his feet, his grey eyes moving around the room as the four killers stood in silence "I... have to go talk to Natalia." Sage mumbles as he turns around on the ball of his foot he strides out of the room as quickly as possible.
The footsteps of sage were stern, intimidating the passing soldiers and civilians as he storms towards an unknown destination.
Sage's PoV
It was a shock to hear Levi say such words, That he messed up because he was thinking about me, it's fair to say I feel both guilty and flattered, but also stunned. Why is he thinking of me, is it bad? Is it good? Whilst thoughts flooded through my mind I hadn't realised I wasn't in the Frontlines Headquarters anymore, but in a random street, civilians watching as I stand staring blankly at the ground.

Sage's eyes were taken up by the familiar face of the woman who tried to kill him a few weeks ago, As Amelia Cassidy stood there with her arms folded over her chest she leans back "Have no fear, I haven't came to kill you, or attack you for that matter." She breaths, before pointing to a small child "I have just come to announce I will be birthing a child in nine months." She explains, my eyes widening as my jaw hits the ground.
