Chapter 11

Alisha POV 

I can't believe what I'm reading, these charges are ridiculous, these have to be pack laws I've broken because there is no way these are the "normal" laws, well maybe one of them is. I'm pretty sure assaulting an police officer is a criminal action everywhere, but I wouldn't have done that if I had know he was a officer. My parents raised me better than that. But the rest of them there is no way, they weren't a problem in Barcelona.

Even the wording didn't sound legit, Paola had warned me how backwards this pack was and now I'm seeing it first hand with this list of offensives I've already been found guilty of. The list wasn't long and  I began to read each one out loud. I wanted to address each one with the Beta because I wasn't going down with out a fight or at least voicing my opinion.

Taking a deep breath to steady my growing irritation with this whole situation and with a calm voice  I started with the first one.

1. involvement  with male(s)  who are not my mate or immediate  family members or pack members.  

"That's because I don't have a mate and there isn't any family here with me in Spain. There was a mix of females and males there, this sounds like I'm  surrounded by only men. They weren't from any packs, aren't humans the exception?" I argue with him his stoic expression not changing as he responded .

"Then you broke another  pack law, NO female is allowed to be alone with any males who are not from our pack. None of these males  were from our pack and it is forbidden to associate with humans outside of work" He doesn't give an inch and just states the facts to me in monotone voice. "This law is in place to keep our females safe"

2. inappropriate  clothing in public.  

I can't hold back the scoff as I finished reading this.

 " I'm wearing nice shorts that come down close to my knees , the top I'm wearing isn't showing boob or belly.  Sure my legs are bare but it's hot out and I was on the beach! "   It's not like I'm wearing booty shorts or even a crop top. 

"You are showing too much skin in public and it can attract unwanted attention from males. It is to be avoided unless your mate approves of it and is with you. "  Again with the monotone voice, so there is a dress code and no one told me about it.   Fine, I got it.

3. alcohol consumption 

" I'm not allowed to drink any alcoholic drinks?" Is this a dry city because if it is there are lots of folks on the  beaches breaking that law. In my defense it was only one beer and I hadn't even got to finish it before those officers showed up. I should have chugged it and would have if I know it'd be the only one I'd ever get here in this city.

"You are allowed alcoholic beverages when you are with your mate and if he allows it. "  You got to be fucking kidding me, send my ass back to Barcelona already , I don't need to read anymore. I like my occasional drink, it relaxes me and I like the taste of certain spirits . But I'm determined to finish off this stupid list and continue on.

4. being in a restricted area, off limits to pack members  

"That area is not part of pack lands and you are not allowed to be there" He speaks up after I read it off the list.

"Let me guess , I can go only if my mate is with me and allows it." I roll my eyes using as much sarcasm as I can in my voice. Yep I'm being disrespectful as hell right this moment but what more can I lose.

"No, even then it is not allowed without Alpha's permission"   That wasn't a big surprise either but how was I supposed to know that particular place was on the do not visit list , I didn't know and neither did Paola because she NEVER would have stopped if that was the case. Didn't see any sign either.
