Alisha POV
Sleep didn't come easy to me , my mind just wouldn't settle and let things go. I kept running different outcomes for the next day when those two met up again. I was part excited and part worried. There were just too many things that could results from knowing the truth. Ranging from running into each others arms before heading off into the sunset together , that was my favorite by the way , to not being mates after all or even worse Bianca being rejected.
I'm just hoping this works out for Bianca in a good way , that poor girl has put so much energy and time into finding her mate. She deserves her happiness because she has really put the work into it, but if this fails she is going to be heartbroken. If that's the case then I'm going to talk her into going to the States to look for her mate . My family there would be happy to help her and I know my sister would love the chance to play matchmaker .
I must have finally dozed off because the next thing I knew there was a soft knock at my door and my eyes popped right open. Ok, so it was more of a light nap but I do feel rested. I'm on edge because today could be the day and I'm as excited as a kid on Christmas day. Only I'm not the one getting any presents under my tree, but I do get to play the part of Santa or at the least one of his elves.
"I'm up , come on in." Bianca opens the door and peeks her up body inside. She has paid extra attention to her hair and makeup today. She is just glowing with anticipation of the possible outcomes.
"How long before your ready to go? I'd like to get there early as possible ." she inquires . She's more nervous than she looks just by the tone of her voice, it's pitch is higher and squeaky.
"I'll be ready in ten, did you put the spray on and your bracelet?" I keep my voice low so anyone else wouldn't hear us if they were in the hallway. She smiles and flashes her fake bracelet at me.
"All set to go, I'll wait for you in the dining area. Please hurry" the door closes softly as she leaves me alone to get ready.
We both grab something to eat , it's still really early but there isn't any reason not to head to the office now. I'm impatient too so the sooner they met the better, we don't speak again until we are alone on the elevator.
"Is your wolf back?" this is important to my plan, it took me several days to get mine after wearing that silver bracelet, but I had worn it for years. She hasn't had hers very long , only a few weeks so the effects should wear off quicker.
"Not fully but enough that I could shift if I had to , my senses are still dulled but not as much. " She is staring at the numbers on the elevator as it changes with each floor.
"It's not going to go any faster if you glare at it. " I tease her, we both need to relax some before we get there. It wouldn't do to rush Saphria and right now Bianca looks like she's ready to run. She half smiles at me and I can see she's trying her best to calm herself down some by taking easy breaths.
"I don't want to scare her off if I appear too anxious." She's gaining control back now, her wolf side is just as excited too.
At least she's feeling her wolf , that's a start and should be present enough to know if they are mates or not. I've got my fingers crossed as the door opens on our floor. There isn't anyone manning the desk outside the elevator but that isn't important. I pulled off those damn heels again once we got on the carpet . She left hers on as I picked mine up to carry. Bianca is walking in them better than me and isn't as wobbly as yesterday moving down the hallway. In fact she moving at a pretty good clip and I watch her sniff the air discretely as she moves along.
I wonder if she's picking anything up but I can't ask , there could be hidden ears listening that I don't see. The anxiety is flowing off of her and I could cut the tension in the air with a dull knife. I hear noise coming from our office space , Saphria is there and I can see her move slowly around in the room. Her movement stops and she turns to look at Bianca as she entered the room. Stopping by the entrance I preferred to stay by the door to stand guard. They don't need to be interrupted right now.
