Will had texted me saying that he was running late, which was fine because I got to straighten up his room. OCD strikes again.
I turned my head to face the door just in time to see a pale, expressionless Will come in with two milkshakes. I plucked the chocolate one from his grasp and pecked him on the cheek.
"Thanks, Will." I acted normal, even though something was wrong with Will.
I rolled over two swivel chairs and sat down, motioning for Will to do the same. When he didn't move, I stood up and took his milkshake. I set it on the table before grabbing both of his hands. I released one and brushed some of his dark chocolate hair out of his face. I touched his cheek and forced his eyes to meet mine.
"Will," I spoke softly." Whats wrong?"
"Stella," Will pushed both of my hands off his body as he proceeded to pace back and forth from the desk to the bed. " My dad stopped by."
I drew in a sharp breath. Will never talked about his father. All I knew was that his dad left him when he was little because he was sick. And from the look on Will's face, he wasn't expecting the visit.
"Well," I cleared my throat. "What did he want?"
Will stopped pacing and leaned hands first on the chair. He turned his head to look at me with the most intense stare I have ever seen. Anger was laced into his eyes and it burned like a fire. And to be honest, It scared me. Will released the chair and took long strides towards me.
For some reason, I took a step back. My own actions shocked me. Why did I do that?
Will stopped abruptly and hurt replaced the anger for a spit second. He shook his head as he ran his hands through his hair.
"I'm sorry, Stella," Will looked back up at me. " My dad came by to ask me for a blood donation that would save his life. He told me to tell him by next week. The funny part is, he didn't ask how I was."
"Oh, Will," I ran up to him and guided him to the bed, where we both sat down. I twirled a piece of of his hair. " Any Ideas as to what your gonna do?"
Will sighed. "I don't know if I should save a father that wouldn't try to save his son."
Will shook his head, then smiled weakly at me before turning his attention to my hair.
" Your hair looks nice, Stell," Will ran his fingers through it. " I've barely seen it all the way down."
I laughed and stood up. "Well now you have."
Will smirked. "You always need to be a smart mouth, don't ya?"
"Mmm," I pretended to think really hard as I grabbed Will's milkshake. " Around you Will, yes, I do."
I handed the milkshake to him, but when he reached for it, I pulled it away. I repeated this two more times before Will gave me a 'give me that milkshake or else' look.
" Come and get it, William."
Will cocked his head. "Don't you dare, Stella Grant."
