Five Feet Closer- Sequel to Five Feet Apart-

STELLA

I heard yelling. A girl yelling. I looked out Will's bedroom window to see a blonde haired girl our age screaming at Will. He was calm, but clearly annoyed. Then she slapped him. Hard. I took a deep breath and stormed down the stairs. 

When I opened the front door, I could feel Will trying to push me back inside. I slapped his arm away and stood in front of him. I got right in the girl's face. 

The girl laughed. "Back up, Goblin. This is between my ex and I."

I flashed her a wicked smile. "Well, you just verbally and physically harassed my boyfriend, so this is between you and I now."

I could somewhat hear Will telling me to go back inside, but I wasn't listening. My own heartbeat filled my ears, blocking out Will's plea's. 

"I have no idea who you are, and I don't care. But get the heck off this property before something bad happens." I snapped. 

The girl scoffed. "Fine. Will's just using you as his play toy anyway, so he'll be available soon enough."

"Oh shut up!" Will raised his voice as she stalked away. 

Will pulled me inside and slammed the door shut. "I could have dealt with it, Stella."

"I don't care. I wasn't about to watch you get slapped around by some crazy Ex of yours." I stood up and walked over to Will. I inspected his cheek. "Your bleeding. She must have had a ring on."

Will protested as I dragged him to the bathroom. I told him to sit on the edge of the tub. He whined but did it. 

I cleaned the cut in silence. Will avoided my gaze, his blue eyes cast on his lap. Tension hung in the air like fog. 

"I'm sorry," I said finally. "I know you could have handled it. I just got so protective."

"Its alright, Stella." Will still wouldn't look up. "I know how you felt. I do."

I lifted his chin up with my finger. When his blue eyes met mine, I kissed him softly. 

Will cleared his throat. "I'm not mad. I'm sorry if it came off that way."

Once again, I placed my lips on his; accepting his apology without words.
