Chapter 25: Wasted Love

I can't believe all this shit is happening. Liyah and I had a very serious talk. We agreed to work things out for our son. She agreed to go to the round table event with me. We weren't in a relationship but we worked out a co parenting situation. I didn't want my son to feel like things were changing because he is to young.

"Liyah are you ready yet!" I yelled up the steps.

She came downstairs looking like a model. Liyah was so beautiful. My dick began to jump in my pants.

"You can't rush perfection." She said.

"You look so beautiful." I said to her. She smiled at me an grabbed her purse.

"I know. Now let's go get this over with." She said walking out the door.

I loved Liyah from the bottom of my heart, but I was in love with Sky. Sky was the apple of my eye. She made me want to be a better man. I adored her and after this event I would do everything I could to get her back.

I know she is still upset but if she just gave me a chance to explain I could fix things. I know I didn't show up when she asked me to come over, but damn I had to get shit straight with Liyah first.

I would do anything to get her back.

Me loving Anthony is the only reason I was attending this event. I was hurt about Sky, but he was right. I had been holding on to something that he had checked out of long ago.

It's time for me to find a man that will give me the same thing in return. I thank Anthony for our son and providing a life for me and my son. My son has never known what it is like to struggle or go without.

I open my business so that my son will always be ok if anything ever happened to Anthony in these streets.

"It took you long enough to come get in this car after you rushed me." I said as Anthony finally got in the care.

He smiled at me an pulled out of the driveway. I bluetooth my phone to the car so I could play music.

"I don't wanna hear no ratchet shit." Anthony said.

I had to laugh at him. "What is ratchet music?" I asked him.

"You know Cardi B, Megan thee Stallion, and them damn city girls." He said.

I just died laughing. He had some nerves calling my girls ratchet.

"Oh and that damn Chinese Kitty." He added.

That made me laugh harder cause he would always tell me how people would tell him I look like her.

"Boy be quiet. I love that song Kitty Walk." I said still laughing.

Jhene Aiko's song Wasted Love started blaring threw the speakers. I really loved this song.

I started sing along with her.

I felt that song from the bottom of my heart. I felt like I had wasted so much time with Anthony. I knew he was cheating but he never let it get to me.

He turned the music off.

"Is that how you feel?" He asked me.

"Yes sometimes I do. Your an amazing father but I know your heart is no longer with me no matter how much I love you." I answered.

We spent the rest of the car ride in silence. I guess Jhene just gave him a lot to think about.
