Chapter 16: The Round Table

Alicia

I heard gun shots and I was so afraid that something happened to Romelo.

I got up off the floor heading towards the door when he came in.

"Oh baby. I thought you go shot." I said hugging him.

He pulled away from me. He was clearly upset.

"What is it baby?"

He just looked at me and calmed down a little.

"It's nothing. You ok? I'm sorry something happened around my home." he said.

I saw the rage in his eyes. This was the side of him that I didn't know.

I walked over to him and kissed him softly on his cheek. Then I kissed his lips.

"Let me ease your mind baby."

I started to unbutton his shirt, when he pulled away from me.

"Not now Alicia! Go to bed." he snapped at me.

For the first time ever I was afraid of him. So I did as he said and went to bed.

I wasn't going to push him. For the first time I realized I didn't really know what Romelo was capable of.

After Sheba busted at us sending a message I knew I needed to go home.

I pulled into my drive way to see that Liyah wasn't here. Most in likely she went to her mom's house.

My mind is fucked up and I need to talk to Sky.

I called again and the phone rang only this time she answered.

"Hello! Baby I'm sorry I never meant to hurt you." I pleaded.

"Why would you not just be honest with me Anthony? I would have understood. You took my right to choose if I still wanted to be with you or not." she said.

I could tell that she was fighting back tears.

"Liyah and I were once an item. Things began to change. I met you and I felt alive again. You made me fall in love with you. I just been trying to find away to tell Liyah it's over. I only been in it now for my son."

She was silent. I didn't know if she had hung up or not.

"Come back over so we can talk face to face." she said.

I hung up and I was so happy until I turned around and saw Liyah standing there.

"The same way you just told her was the same way you could have told me." she said.
