"Does that man look like this?" The policeman whipped out a photo of an AX400 model.
"Oh my goodness," the old lady clasped her mouth in surprise. "Y-Yes, officer! That's the exactly how he looked like! I knew there was something odd about him." She nodded her head vigorously, still shocked by the fact a literal android snuck under her nose just like that.
"I-I'm sorry, Officer. I couldn't tell at all. He looked so human!" The woman tried to defend herself when the man in uniform held his hand up to silence her, which worked.
"It's alright, ma'am," he reassured her. "We just wanna know if it's still here."
"Probably. Room 14."
The woman then pointed up to the second floor of the small motel, unaware of the two men who were walking towards the stairs. She mumbled a thank you to the cop once more and gave a slight bow before heading back in to her motel shack.
The cop motioned to the other officers to follow him and go up the stairs to the room.
As they approached the room, the two other officers who followed after the senior cop— who were most likely rookies— drew out their guns and readied themselves just beside the door, as if they were in some movie or action story. The older officer scoffed at them, and instead knocked gently on the door.
"Hello, is anyone here?" He had to raise his voice a little so he could be heard from the other side of the door. A few moments passed with no response, agitating the senior.
He knocked on the door again, only this time more aggressively. "Is anyone there?! It's Tokyo Police!" He yelled in a gruff voice.
Again, no response.
Without a second thought, the senior officer stepped back and rushed forward, ramming his foot against the door and kicking it open without much effort. After peeking inside to check if the coast was clear, the senior flicked his wrist, gesturing towards the two younger officers to come inside.
The two officers held their guns up defensively, raising their guard up in case something unexpected happened.
The senior officer inspected the room, and approached the bathroom. Slowly, he inched towards the shower curtain, extending his hand out to grab the plastic curtain. "Keep your guard up, men," he ordered, the two other males tightening their grip on their guns.
With a swoosh, he abruptly pulled the curtain away, revealing nothing but an empty shower.
"Huh? What on earth...?" He blinked in disbelief.
"What is it, Sir?" One of the younger cops asked. The older officer turned to face them.
"There's no one here."

"Agh, my legs..." Nagito hissed in pain as he tried to catch up with the android in front.
"Ko, I want you to jump off the railing."
"What? Why?! We can take the stairs!" The albino exclaimed in shock.
"It'll be too late to run," Hajime began to climb over the railing. "The police are just over there. And we'll get caught easier if we do so." He then released his grip on the steel rail and leapt onto the ground as if it were second nature. Hajime was an android so he was obviously fine, but Nagito was a human.
