"Good morning, Fujisaki."

"G-Good morning, sir," the petite man greeted him in a timid voice, keeping his head low as he hugged his tablet tighter to his chest. Once he saw the raven-haired man turn his back on him, Fujisaki quickly unlocked his tablet to access the reports and scheduled meetings for the day.

"So uhm... You've got a meeting at 12pm today, and another one after that at 5pm," Fujisaki cleared his throat and began reading out the content displayed on his tablet. "Our engineers have also improved more on our previous AX400 model androids, so they want you to see if they're marketable enough or not."

The taller male simply nodded. "Cancel all my meetings for today. And about the new innovated android thing, just tell them I approve of it to be sold to the public." He merely stated.

Fujisaki stood there, stunned with shock by his answer. Sure, he should've gotten used to requests like this by now— having been the CEO's secretary for two years or so. But even then, it simply astounded him when the man before him literally decided to call off all his work for the day.

And especially after the deviant case that got called off two weeks ago, that sent him over the edge.

"I'm sorry, sir. But you need to attend these meetings," he explained. "They're mandatory, and I can't always be there to update you 24/7 about the company's condition."

"Isn't that what your job is meant for though?" Fujisaki almost popped a vein on his forehead.

"Well, of course, Mr. Kamukura," he gritted through his teeth, trying not to let his anger seep through his calm demeanor. That wouldn't be very unprofessional at all, and showing his anger would only entertain the raven-haired male even further.

"However, you also have a job to do as well. And I'm not gonna be there to do it for you." Normally, Fujisaki would've just shrunk back in cowardice and nodded at this point in the conversation. However, he was feeling a bit more confident today, and he decided he was about to give the CEO a piece of his mind after so long. "Besides, that wouldn't look good on your image to the public, now would it?"

"Are you mocking me, Chihiro?" Kamukura retaliated back in a low voice.

"What I'm saying is the truth, and you know it."

"... Whatever. How boring," he simply sighed and went back to looking over the view of the city he had seen a million times over his time as Cyberlife's CEO. I'm sorry, you said what? Chihiro blinked in disbelief.

"Well, Mr. Kamukura," Chihiro cleared his throat, tightening his grip on the tablet in his hand. "You know what isn't boring? The fact that the deviant case from two weeks ago still hasn't been solved yet."

"Really now?" Kamukura raised a brow, though the stoic expression on his face remained indifferent.

And it pissed Chihiro off.

"Yes, I do admit I could be thinking too much about this," Chihiro set down his tablet on the table beside him. "But even so, we shouldn't be taking this deviant case so lightly."

"Enlighten me." The other male simply said, even though he knew damn well where this conversation was going.

"Look, almost no one knows where this deviant is, or what's it planning to do. But even if it's not planning anything dangerous at all, we still can't be too sure that's the case."
