Another week had passed. Whatever happened in between was a blur, but that's because Hajime had something big planned for the kind brunette, and he had the help of Nagito as well as the children at the orphanage.

Apparently, a week before Aoi left Hajime and Nagito with baking while she went out to renew her passport with her girlfriend— at least, that's what the android's been told.

Right now though, they were busy decorating the orphanage with balloons and banners for a 'secret party' they were planning, as Hajime told the kids.

Nagito was struggling to hang up the banner onto the wall by both ends. "Goodbye Aoi" was written on the banner in big letters, with a bunch of smaller messages written by the orphans around the big words earlier on.

Just when he was about to stumble and trip down the small ladder he was standing on, a little girl held the ladder in place so it wouldn't wobble and the albino stayed in place. "Ah, thank you, Maki," he thanked her with a smile.

"Mister, do you need any help with that?" she asked.

"No, I'm perfectly fine, kid," said Nagito, as he continued struggling to pin up one end of the banner while holding the other end. Maki facepalmed in response, which was a first for her since every other time she facepalmed in disappointment was either at Kaito or at the younger kids whenever they made a mess.

"You know, I can hold the other end for you," she extended a hand out to hold the banner, giving him a blank expression. "Just let me help, goddamnit," Maki muttered lowly under her breath.

"Okay. Sure, you can help me," Nagito sweatdropped, handing one end of the banner to Maki while he hung up the other one.

Meanwhile, Hajime was teaching the older kids how to blow balloons and helping to tie them. The younger kids were instead tasked with putting the balloons up with double-sided tape that Miss Chisa had also taped onto the balloons so it was easier to paste them on the wall.

"Big bro Hajime, what's going on?" Kaito asked the android. "It isn't anyone's birthday today. Why are you putting up balloons?"

"Big sis Hina will be going to Hokkaido with her girlfriend soon," Hajime told him, ruffling the little boy's hair. "She's helped me and my friend a lot, so a farewell party was the least we could do to repay her."

"What?! Big sis Hina's leaving?!" The boy exclaimed in shock. "Is she leaving us forever?! I don't want her to go!"

"Well, yes," the android knelt down to Kaito's height. "But she won't be leaving forever. I'm sure she'll definitely come back to visit you guys."

"You really think so?"

"She doesn't seem like the person to abandon people so easily, so I'm positive, spaceman," Hajime ruffled the little boy's hair. "Now, I've got a special mission for you. Wanna know what it is?" Kaito nodded his head vigorously.

"I want you to go outside and see if Aoi is coming," he began, "if she is, you gotta signal for all of us to hide. I want you to get her to close her eyes and bring her inside. Then, count to three and tell her to open her eyes. That's when we'll all come out and surprise her."

"Ooh, that sounds fun!" Kaito grinned.

"So, can I count on you to do it?" Hajime asked. "Mmhmm! I've got it, captain!"

"Great," Hajime stood up from his kneeling position. "Now you go off and do your special mission, okay?" Kaito nodded and gave him a small salute before running outside to wait for Aoi.

"I gotta admit, Hajime," Miss Chisa approached him from behind, "it was very nice of you to do something like this. I was just thinking of doing a farewell party for Hina when you came to me with the same idea, actually," she chuckled.

"Really?" Hajime raised a brow.

"Oh yes," Chisa nodded. "A few days ago, I told the kids to make farewell cards to Aoi and give them today, but that was it. I never actually gave much thought for a farewell party though."

"Huh," Hajime let out a small laugh.

"For a tourist that happens to be in this area, that's very generous of you and your friend to do so, if I'm being honest." Hajime stiffened.

Haha, that. Nearly dismissed the fact that I lied to her that Nagito and I were tourists here on vacation. I would be a shame if I accidentally exposed the fact I was an android in this moment—

"Big bro Hajime! Aoi's coming!" Kaito yelled, rushing inside the building. Ah, it's surprise time.

"Okay, everyone!" Miss Chisa clapped her hands to get the children's attention. "Aoi is coming now. Does everyone have your farewell cards to her?" She asked, only to be met with the children holding their cards up in the air and saying yes in unison.

"Alright guys, it's time to hide!" Hajime said, and everyone began looking around the place for somewhere to hide. The android flicked the light switch and darkened the room.

"Kaito, what's going on? When can I open my eyes?" Aoi laughed, still keeping her hands on her eyes. "Soon enough, big sis Hina! Just keep your eyes closed until I count to three."

"Okay then, if you say so," she chuckled.

"Wait for it... "Kaito then took a deep breath. "One, two, three."

As if on cue, as soon as Aoi opened her eyes, everyone came out of their hiding spots and turned the lights. She widened her eyes in surprise.

"Surprise!" Everyone exclaimed in unison.
