"Big sis Hina!" Children cheered as they greeted the brunette with open arms.
"Hey, you guys!" She greeted them all, giving the smaller kids a large bear hug, earning innocent laughter from them ringing like bells.
Hajime and Nagito stood there awkwardly as they saw a bunch of children surrounding the brunette.
"Hi there!" A young boy with an astronaut plushie approached the android, flashing him a toothy smile. Some of his teeth were gone, probably because he was growing new ones soon. "I'm Kaito, who'll be a famous astronaut someday!" He exclaimed, placing his hands on his waist.
A chuckle left the android's mouth and bent down to the boy's height. "Nice to meet you, Kaito. I'm Hajime Hinata," Hajime used the last name he made up for himself to look less suspicious. "Seems like someone has dreams of going to space, huh?"
"Yeah!" Kaito beamed. "I wanna ride a spaceship someday and I'll name it after myself when I go to the moon!"
"Sheesh. Kaito, you're being too loud." A girl with red barrettes tugged on the sleeve of his galaxy shirt. She looked more quiet and reserved, judging by the way she stared to the ground and fiddled with her skirt. "Don't worry, Maki. These are good guys!" The boy reassured her.
"Of course, Kaito," a middle aged woman with ginger hair appeared behind the two kids. "And I believe if my memory serves me correctly, I haven't seen you gentlemen in this area before," she then glanced up to face the albino and the brunet.
Maki grabbed Kaito by the arm and pulled him inside the small building.
She lifted up a hand towards Hajime. "Chisa Yukizome, head caretaker of this orphanage. Though most of the kids here call me Miss Chisa, so I don't mind if you call me that too," she greeted him with a warm smile.
He shook her hand briefly. "Hajime Hinata. That's my friend Ko over there," he gestured to the taller male behind him. Nagito gave Chisa a small wave.
"I've never seen you two in the neighborhood before. What brings you here to Fukushima?" Chisa asked them.
I'm actually a deviant android running away with this human here from the police. But we're moving to Hokkaido in a month or so, so hopefully everything will turn out alright and—
"We're on vacation here," Hajime smiled.
"In this area?" Chisa blinked in surprise.
"I just thought a trip to a more urban area would be a nice change for once," he explained.
The woman nodded her head in response. "I don't know how visiting a orphanage is part of a vacation, but feel free to come inside!" She gestured the two of them to come inside the small orphanage.
"We rarely get any visitors nowadays, other than Aoi who works part-time here," Chisa said, "so don't be surprised if the children here suddenly come up to you for piggyback rides and such. They make very hospitable hosts whenever someone comes here," she grinned and let out a hearty chuckled.
One of the younger kids saw him and pointed at Hajime's tan skin. "It's an Indian! Hide!" He shrieked, and caused some of them to scatter around the room. I'm sorry, what did you just call me? He didn't noticed the twitch of anger in his smile as he walked in.
"Guys, don't call him that. That's rude!" Aoi huffed at them, especially at the one who called Hajime an "Indian". He simply pouted and ran off to a small corner to play with the other kids.
Aoi shook her head in response and sighed. "Sheesh, those rascals..." she mumbled, and gave the tan android a look.
"Kids, am I right?" She said. "Don't worry about it. They're still young," Hajime shrugged it off.
