Chapter 4

{Uraraka p.o.v.}
Deku seemed really troubled at lunch today, maybe Bakugo did something when he went to the restroom. They have some serious beef with each other and honestly, Bakugo makes me madder than anything or anyone. What is his deal with Deku and why can't they just stop? We're in high school now for crying out loud, can't they just make up? It seems like this feud has been going on for years and I bet it's for nothing, since Bakugo always gets mad over nothing everyday.

I'm walking home and I see Hatsume again, not to judge but she's a REALLY outgoing character. She's smart as heck don't get me wrong, but she definitely doesn't have a filter bone in her body.
"Uraraka!" She runs to me and I smile and wave.
"I wanted to talk to you after school but you disappeared before I could find you, yet here we are haha it's fate."
"Um haha I guess." I scratch the back of my head awkwardly.
"So how are you and your little boyfriend doing?"
"Huh? Boyfriend?"
"Yea, Midoriya."
She wiggles her eyebrows and I turn red embarrassed, "No, no, no! I-It's not like that! He's my friend, that's all!"
"That's how it always starts."
She taps her elbow against my arm and laughs, "Oh, I wanted to discuss that I'm going to have a slumber party this weekend and I wanted to know if you'd tag along."
"Um a slumber party? I've never been to one so I don't really know what to do."
"Eat snacks with your girl friends, watch movies, gossip, play games, sleep over, all the fun stuff. All the girls we know will be there so please, please, pleeeease will you come too?"
"Uhhh haha, I don't think I'll be busy so sure, why not."
"Awesome! I'll let everyone know, it's Saturday at 5pm so don't forget!" She runs off and I sigh.
I already can feel that I'm going to embarrass myself.
My stomach growls and I check my wallet, I have enough money for a quick bite at the nearby pizza place.
I walk in and order and wait. While I wait, I look around and see Bakugo with Kirishima. Hm, maybe I'll get some information?
I hide behind a wall that's near their booth to listen to their conversation.
"So you weren't at lunch today, did something happen?"
"None of your business."
"Well I'm just asking since you're my buddy."
"I went to the training room, that's all you need to know."
"Works for me."
Kirishima really doesn't look into things does he? But since I do, I can feel the pressure in Bakugo's voice that something happened and he's not going to spit it out, which he never does anyway. If something did happen during lunch then that must be why Deku was distracted today. Why though? Maybe Bakugo confronted him about his distance scores? I saw them myself and was amazed that Deku was one number lower from the distance score of Bakugo's, so he probably warned him about it in the restroom and threatened him.
"Alright, I'm done and I'll pay for it." They get up and leave.
I go back to the counter to get my pizza to-go so I can share with my parents.
I feel like there's going to be more conflict between them soon.

"Mom, Dad, I'm home!"
"Oh hey, sweetie! How was school?"
"It wasn't bad, nothing troubling so far."
"That's good. I see you brought pizza for dinner."
"Yea, I was hungry and the pizza place was in the area so I thought, why not?"
"Thank you honey, now go shower and we'll eat then you can start your homework."
"Sounds good, mom. Where's dad?"
"Oh, he's working late but he should be here in about an hour."
"Alright." Later on we're eating and talking.
"Ochako."
"Yes, mom?"
"Are you still friends with that, Midoriya, boy?"
"Yes, why?"
"I'm just wondering. Last year you were around him a lot and blushing once in a while when talking to him. I thought maybe you had a little crush on someone?"
"Uhhh, n-no he's just my friend."
"Ochako, you can talk to me about anything, we're both girls here."
"I know, but we're seriously just friends."
Her face shows that she doesn't believe a word I'm saying, but she also doesn't want to bother me too much with it or push me into boy problems.
"Okay, okay. I'll just stick with that. Well, since you're done now, you can start your homework in your room."
After I clean up the kitchen, I go to my room and get out my homework.
This year is going to be more tough than the last but I think I can stand it. I just hope nothing bad happens to Deku on the way.
