Chapter 30

{Eijiro Kirishima p.o.v}
"Hey, Kirishima!"
"Yeah? What's up, Kaminari?"
"I just heard, Bakugo got in a fight with Midoriya and they've been in the hospital for weeks."
"WEEKS!? NO ONE TOLD ME UNTIL NOW!?"
"I didn't know either, man. Let's go see him."
We run to the hospital and I go up to the front desk in a sweat, "We want to see, Katsuki Bakugo, please."
"Alright, just sign in on this paper for me."
I scribble my name so fast that it looks like handwriting at a pharmacy.
"He's in room 105 on floor 5."
"Thank you."
We run to the elevator and push the 5 button.
"Hey, I'm sure he's fine now. It's been weeks."
"I don't care. He's in the hospital and nobody even told me. I feel like a terrible friend."
"I heard it from Uraraka, so I don't think anyone else in our group actually knows."
The doors open and I run to 105. I walk in and Bakugo looks angry while eating nasty hospital food. I sigh in relief that he's acting somewhat of himself but that he's not completely wrecked either since the nurse helped a bit.
"Katsuki...you look awful. Your nose and the bruises...I didn't even know you were here. I'm so sorry, if I knew, I would've came the moment you got here."
He looks up and sees me with Kaminari.
"What do you two losers want."
I look at Kaminari, "We uh just wanted to see you, man. I heard about it and just let Kirishima know, he ran here immediately."
"I don't need anyone to baby me."
"We're not babying you, Katsuki. We're your friends and we're here for you."
"I don't need you! Get out of my face you idiots! I'm going to murder his ass the next time I see him and none of you will stop me! No one! So go away and stop distracting me!"
Kaminari puts his hand on my shoulder from behind to try to get me to leave.
"You can go, but I'm staying."
"Kirishima-"
"I said I'm staying. I'll be fine."
"I said get out losers!"
Kaminari nods, "I'll see you later then, keep me updated." He leaves and I stand next to Bakugo. His ribs are wrapped and he has a bunch of bruises on his body.
"Katsuki...what did you do..."
"Who cares what I did, it's none of your business and I don't need your pity."
I look in his eyes and they're still empty, I guess the compelling doesn't stop until you stop the person that activated it.
"Look, I know you're only being a full on jerk because of the compelling. But it's not going to stop me from being your friend."
"I don't want you to be my friend. I don't need you or anyone else to be stuck to me like Mineta's balls and get in my way."
"I don't care, I'm going to be your friend anyway and there's nothing you can do to stop me. I'm not giving up on you and I'm going to do whatever it takes to take out Shigaraki."
He grabs my arm tight and looks at me with a warning expression.
"Do not touch, Master. You will die by me if you do. I will not hesitate if I find out that you did it."
"Master? You've gotta be kidding me. He's not your master and you're not a villain, Katsuki. You don't realize it yet because of what they did to your mind but it's the truth. You're not one of them and I'm not giving up on getting you back."
"Give up now, all of you. The less you fight back, the less pain you'll have. Maybe we'll spare some of your lives."
"Kill me. I don't care. You're my best friend and I would forgive you for killing me. It's not your fault."
He stands up and pushes me at the wall.
"Get. Out. You pathetic extra. You think you know me but you don't know a damn thing about me. 'Katsuki, I'll die for you, you're my best friend, call me an idiot all you want, I'm not giving up.' Boohoo, stupid little baby. I don't need your kindness and friendship. I don't need you. So get the hell out before I actually do kill you, for getting on my nerves."
"You'll have to make me then."
He smirks and kicks me out the window that was open in the room. I fall and see him step away on my way down. But I land on some thick bushes so that it breaks my hard fall, if he wanted me dead then he would've aimed me towards the concrete.
Does that mean, the real Katsuki is still deep inside of him?
I stand up and wipe the leaves off of me and look up at the window that's shut now.
I'm coming, Katsuki. Hold on just a bit longer.

"Kirishima! Nice to see you again, you look dreadful though."
I stop walking outside and turn to All Might, "Yeah, I visited Katsuki after I heard the news about him being in the hospital."
"How nice of you, he didn't explode you out, right?"
"Nah, just kicked me out of a window instead."
"A window!?"
"Yep. I kept arguing with him about not giving up on him and got mad at me when I mentioned defeating Shigaraki. I landed on some thick bushes though so it kind of cushioned my fall, I have scrapes and had some thorns as well."
"Sorry about that, but you already know that he's compelled so it's not his fault for his actions."
"Well, knowing him, he'd kick anyone he wanted out of a window any day, without being compelled."
He laughs and nods, "I guess that's true."
"Is Midoriya in the hospital?"
"Actually, he just got released this morning. He's home now but still in bad shape."
I nod, "Just a question."
"Hm? What is it?"
"Who won the fight?"
He sighs, "It's not my place to tell."
I nod and walk away. I'll just find someone who knows.
