Chapter 7

{Shoto Todoroki p.o.v.}

Bakugo is such a selfish idiot I swear. Sometimes it cracks me up honestly, that he's so immature and reckless. After what he did to Uraraka, I'm surprised he's still in U.A. .
I walk inside the hospital doors and go to the visitors desk, "Rei Todoroki."
I get a pass and walk to the room, knocking on the door when I arrive.
"Come in."
Walking in, I sit next to my mom on the bed.
"Hey, Shoto. How was school, honey?"
"It's alright so far. Of course an idiot is already starting stuff. I don't know why I expected any less honestly, haha." She smiles.
"The Katsuki Bakugo boy you talked about? He seems like a huge troublemaker."
"He's always been like that. He's done so much dumb and reckless stuff that I've lost count."
She laughs a little and holds my hand, "I know you're going to be a great hero though. You have everything in you that I know can save people."
"Thanks, mom. I've been working hard all summer, I still am of course. I know that soon the villains are going to start attacking the city. Whether it's a slow process or all at once, I want to be ready to help win against them."
"I know you have, and you will win against them, Shoto. I have complete faith in you and I always will."
"I have faith in you too, you'll get out of here soon."
She smiles a little and I already know what she's thinking. The reason why she's even here.
"Don't stress about it, Mom. We've moved past that."
She nods and kisses my head as I hug her.
"Need help with your homework?"
"I don't have much yet, but if you want to help me then you can. I don't mind at all."
"Good. There's nothing better to do here."
I chuckle and we work on my homework together, talking as well for a while.
The door receives a knock about 3 hours later, "Excuse me, Mrs. Todoroki. The visiting time for your son is up."
She nods and we hug again, "I'll see you tomorrow, Mom."
"I love you, Shoto."
"I love you too."
I get my stuff and leave the hospital, walking to my house. When I get inside, I receive a hug from my sister.
"I've missed you all day, Shoto. You've been going out later these days."
"Fuyumi, it was just 3 hours."
"I know but you're also gone all day at school."
"I was here also all summer."
"You're so mean. Oh, Dad wanted to talk to you. I don't know what about but that's all he told me to tell you."
I roll my eyes, "Alright. Thanks."
Walking into his office, and up to his desk, I make him look up, "About time you're home. I thought I told you to stop visiting, Rei."
"Yeah you did, so what? You think I was actually going to stop visiting her?"
"After what she's done to you, yes. I would prefer it."
"It was your fault and I don't care what you want from me. Hurry up and tell me what you want to speak to me for."
"This. You visiting Rei. It's dumb and ruining your reputation."
"Mine or yours?"
"Stop defying me, boy. You're mine and she's in a hospital for her actions. She can't have you anymore and you're my son."
"No, I'm your experiment and obviously yes, she can have me since I'm hers as well. In case you've forgotten, I don't use your quirk unless I absolutely have to. You're not worth using and I hate you. I'm always going to use hers the most. You can't make me do anything and sometimes I forget about you for hours. Stop telling me what to do and get over yourself. Just because you're the number one hero now, doesn't mean I'll treat you with more respect. Don't wait on it."
I leave and roll my eyes, closing the door behind me, Fuyumi is also right by the door.
"You listened?"
"I was just curious, I'm sorry. What you said was true though. You're really brave for what you say to him all the time. I can't even talk to him half the time."
"Grow a pair."
"Ew, Shoto. You're so gross."
Going to my room, I lay on my bed.
I can't stand him and wish I could do something about him but I know that's never going to happen, so he's stuck in my life forever. I even have to protect my siblings because of his stupidity. Him and Bakugo would get along perfectly.
When I start to hear talking outside, I open my window to look out and see Bakugo with that Himiko Toga girl from The League Of Villains.
What the heck?
I hide a little bit but listen to their conversation, which is about Midoriya and All Might.
"We want to kill him. Do you want to?"
I look at Bakugo as I wait for his answer.
I know he hates Midoriya but would he actually go as far as to kill him? He can't be that stupid and selfish right?
Next he brings up his top rankings and not throwing it away for murder. I roll my eyes and huff.
Of course you say that.
"I'm not like you at all. So get out of my face with that crappy makeup and leave me alone."
Honestly, I couldn't help but hold in my laughter at that.
Her makeup does kind of suck since she goes all out with it.
They fight after that but it doesn't last long because she gets knocked out from him body slamming her over his shoulder onto the ground.
Didn't he do that to Midoriya before? That had to hurt her even more than it did to him. It hurt just watching that happen.
Then All Might shows up out of nowhere and congratulates him on taking her down.
"Yeah yeah, enough with the tough guy act already."
Act? What does he mean by that? Is he putting All Might down for being weak now?
Bakugo steps over her like she's dog poop and just walks off. But then he looks up, seeing me listening in and rolls his eyes.
I don't think he'll ever change and that's going to be a problem if he ever wants to actually become a pro hero.
