Chapter 50 (4/4)

{Shoto Todoroki p.o.v}

I'm walking with Sero and Kirishima around common areas of where the villains would most likely be. Also where the explosion came from.
"Man it's already night time, it makes everything creepier."
"Sero that sounded so unmanly."
"You're not scared at all!?"
"No."
"Oh you're more worried about Bakugo, I forgot."
"Shut up."
I stop and they bump into me from walking behind, "Ow what the hell Todoroki? Warn us before just stopping."
"We've been walking around for an hour and no one has shown up."
"So? Maybe we're lucky."
"They're hiding."
They look around, "There's no one here, man."
"He just said they're hiding dumbass."
"Hey I know you're worried about Bakugo but be nice as a friend and a teammate."
Suddenly three people pop out of nowhere, in front of each one of us since our backs are against each other to see in our points of views, but they're all the same people.
"Why hellooooo! Who are these people? They seem rather interesting."
Sero mumbles at me, "Is he serious? Why is he talking like that?"
"I am Twice. I have a sense of humor from time to time unlike most of my comrades. Buuuuuut seriously who are you guys? Wait, wait. I know. I watched the tournament a while ago. The redhead is Kirishima, right? You harden your body. So much that you can even look like a monster."
"Tch."
"Tape dispenser guy is pretty self explanatory."
"Ugh you didn't have to make it sound lame."
"And last, but not least. Everyone knows you don't they? Endeavor's famous son. Two quirks but mostly uses only the ice quirk. Must be because of daddy issues right? But it is dope to have two quirks so I don't know why you're slacking off of that convenience."
"I have my reasons."
"Yep. But anyways, I haven't introduced myself properly. My name is Twice because I can make copies of someone. Two at a time and keep it going. The other two you see, are examples. Pretty handsome aren't they?"
"How would we know? You're all wearing masks."
"Okay, tape dispenser. Stop making it sound lame."
"You did it first. And my hero name is Cellophane."
"Not as cool either."
"Dude!"
"Heh, you're funny. But sadly I can't stay long for the comedy show."
All three charge at us and he multiplies more copies only a few minutes into the fight.
I freeze the copies when I can but they multiply over and over, making it harder to keep track of how many pop up.
"There's so many!" Sero yells in exhaustion while Kirishima is punching his group of copies with some of his quirk, I'd say about 20% at most.
"Muahahahaha, did you twerps think this would be easy? Such fools you are to assume I would be as simple as a flip of a coin."
"Did he evil laugh and call us twerps? How old is this guy?"
"I'm only 31! How old are you, 10!? You meddling kids! Everyone has said that before! And if you don't evil laugh as a villain, you haven't lived."
"Or you're just a weirdo drawing awkward attention to yourself. And who the hell quotes a phrase from Scooby Doo?"
"Cellophane, I'm gonna kick your ass."
Sero wraps all of the copies in front of him with his quirk, about 10 of them, and swings them around like a toy or something, then tears off a area of his tape once he's done and they fly at the original Twice, making him fly at a brick wall that cracks while the rest are lying on the ground bleeding from hitting something too hard.
"Damn. You're good for a tape dispenser."
I feel a heat approach from behind me at a quick rate and I turn quickly and shoot my ice at the flames I see. The flames go out once I do and hear footsteps coming from behind my ice.
Those flames, where have I seen them? Blue, hot as hell, quick. Wait. No....it can't be.
But I was correct about my assumption, when Dabi finally appears before me,
"Mind if I join?"

"Damn, Dabi. Showing up sooner would've been better."
"I know, I know. But I was trying to find that special kid specifically. I love fighting him." He points at me while smirking, the creepiest expression I've ever seen on someone's face.
"We all know that. I'll take care of these two squirts and you take care of that peppermint boy."
"Squirts? The hell man?"
"Shut up, tape dispenser!"
"It's Cellophane!"
Sero runs at Twice and fights him along with the remaining copies he made for now. But there's one thing missing.
Where did Kirishima go? He was just here.
"Are you going to just stand there in space or fight me? You're not chickening out are you?"
"Like I'd reject a fight with you."
"That's a good thing to hear. It'd be a shame not to fight Endeavor's kid again. What part did we leave off on?"
"I'm Shoto!"
I shoot my ice at him but he melts it pretty quickly with his flames that's clearly hotter than mine.
Even more dangerous.
"Is that all you got? You're only going to use your lame ice on me? Like I said last time, that can't save you in every fight. Especially against me." He smirks again while lighting up a small flame in his hand.
"I'll use what I have to." Shooting ice at him again, he melts it too and blasts a huge hole through it. I fall to the ground to dodge it, also noticing he burnt the forearm part of one of my sleeves off my costume.
"Uh oh, I missed."
"You won't get me again."
"Don't be so confident. It's not your style."
I probably have to use my fire soon. I can use both quirks at the same time but I know my ice can't stop him forever.
What I definitely didn't notice was that the whole time I was paying attention to Dabi, Twice made 20 exact copies of Dabi.
Fuck.
"Todoroki!"
"I'll be fine! Just fight him off long enough for me!"
"Okay!"
"Now that there's more of me, what are you going to do? There's 20 of me and 10 of Twice now. Your partner is fighting 3 by himself and is worn out already. He won't last long and soon it'll only be you. You have no chance of winning."
It's definitely true that Sero is getting to his limit, that much is obvious. I'd say he has maybe 5 minutes left until he can't fight anymore with his quirk. He'll have to count on me when that happens.
All the Dabi's surround me with the same smirk as him. I look at him with caution as all of them could attack at any moment now.
"Say when." Dabi says in a competitive tone, like he knows he'll win. Which I'm going to do everything I can in order to prevent that.
I have no choice, I'll have to use it sooner than I hoped.
They all swing their left arm over their shoulder like I do, giving away that they're about to shoot. Right before they fire, I make a thick ice shield around me and over me like an igloo. Thick enough to give me enough time to think of a plan, about 10 minutes at most. The blasts hit the outside of it from every area possible of the ice.
"Sero, are you okay!"
"I can't hold for much longer! I managed to take out half of them but you'll need to fight off the rest yourself!"
Damn, I knew it.
The ice starts cracking and breaking all of a sudden.
What the hell? This is the thickest ice I've ever done.
I hear cheesy evil laughing again from that Twice guy, and see that his copies are cutting the ice from different sides of the shield.
They can get that strong!? Fuck fuck fuck I have less time and I haven't even thought of any plans. I'm gonna need to improvise.
I wait until they cut the ice enough for it to be a bit thinner, like regular ice would be. Right before the shield collapses, I explode my fire through the top like Bakugo would do, I guess. Big pieces of ice fly around at high speeds, killing every single copy of Twice and Dabi as they're cut in half from the sharpness and thickness of them.
"Whoa..." I hear Sero whisper to himself as he's laying on the ground, finally he hit his limit.
"Where is the original?"
"You killed him too, thankfully." I nod as I'm still looking at the original Dabi with my flames still lit on my left side and my ice still on my skin on my right. I puff out a cold breath.
"When."
At the same time we both shoot our fire at each other like we've done before. Making a huge impact in the middle when they touch. I shoot ice at his feet while still using my fire, so that he can't move.
"Wow, so you can use both quirks at the same time now. Impressive."
He pushes his flame harder as he applies more strength into it, I return the same action while one foot is in front of me and one in the back, to hold back his force. I get pushed back a little from time to time as he strengthens his over and over.
"You're putting a lot of strength into this fight. But is that really all you got? It feels like a child pushing me."
"If you want me to not go easy then I will."
"So you have been this whole time? Shame. Endeavor's kid should be better than that."
"MY NAME IS SHOTO!"
Finally I use all the strength I have. 100% of it into my flames. He finally shows struggle as my flames pushes towards him this time.
"Haha, that's more like it! This is much more fun!"
"I'm glad you're enjoying it. But this won't last much longer."
I push towards him, my flames growing bigger and stronger than his. Which also is burning off my left side of my costume.
"Endeavor did an amazing job!"
"SHOTO TODOROKI!"
My flames finally reach him and explode when it cancels out his, making the ice I put on him break and send him fly back pretty far. I jump at him as he's mid air and spin before kicking him in the stomach, making him crash faster to the ground and causing a big hole and cracks into the concrete.
"Todoroki!" I look up and see Midoriya with Uraraka on a roof. There's a ton of broken pieces of the cement from Dabi breaking it, along with pieces of the broken wall that Twice slammed into floating in the air high above. Uraraka somehow grabbed it all and made them weightless without anyone noticing.
"Midoriya?"
"Get away! I have an idea!"
Uraraka looks like she's gonna puke soon, but I look down from where the objects are floating above and see they're directly over Dabi as he's knocked out on the ground.
They're not gonna...
"Todoroki, now!"
"That could kill him! What kind of heroes would we be!?"
I already had to kill the copies of Twice and Dabi without a choice. I don't want more bloodshed.
"We have no other choice! You're going to have to trust me!"
I hesitate but run to Sero and help him out of the area with me.
"Release!"
I hear the broken cement and wall blocks crash on top of him. When it's over, we both go back to where Midoriya and Uraraka are, to see what happened. All you can see is the debris completely covering Dabi's body.
"There's no way he survived that." Midoriya says in certainty.
"Midoriya, if the public knows about this, they're going to think it's murder."
"If they do, we'll explain the whole story. Everyone should understand it's to protect the city and had no other way to stop him."
Uraraka looks at him nervously, "I hope you're right."
"Come on, we have to get back to All Might and the others. I had to leave him real quick when I heard the explosion. I thought it was Kacchan."
"How are we going to explain this?" Sero asks in a weak voice.
Midoriya looks over his shoulder as he turns to leave, "Leave it to me." and jumps on the walls to the rooftops, vanishing to go back to All Might.
"Todoroki, I thought Kirishima was in your group?"
"He vanished suddenly during the fight."
"Oh. Well let's get Sero to the ambulance and we'll look for the others."

"Hey Todoroki and Uraraka!"
We turn around after the ambulance takes Sero, seeing some of 1-A and some members of 1-B with them.
"Sero looks like hell, are you two okay?"
"Yeah."
"Todoroki, some of your costume is burned off."
"It's fine. I'll just get it fixed again."
"None of us are hurt! 1-A is so weak! Hahahahaha!"
Kendo pressure points Monoma again and smiles in a apologetic way, "He's a moron even during times like this, but I know he's just trying to cover up that he's terrified just like the rest of us."
I nod, "We need to find Midoriya and All Might. The ones that are still capable of fighting that is."
"Let's do it! PLUS ULTRA!"
