Lucifer followed Michael down the street, grumbling under his breath. The only coherent things that weren't in Enochian were stupid Winchesters and stupid horny Dean and Why does Cassie even like this guy? Of course, he was also following his own stupid Winchester down the street as Michael aggressively marched off to find this red-haired chick. Of course, before he knew it Gabriel and Sam had appeared out of nowhere at his side.
"Where are we going?" Gabriel asked. Lucifer glared at the younger archangel.
"We aren't going anywhere," Lucifer said, gesturing at the foursome. "We are going to get Dean." He gestured between himself and Michael this time. Michael, who seemed to notice their presence for the first time, spun around.
"No, we aren't going anywhere. I'm going. Alone," Michael said, glaring at Lucifer.
"Hey, hey, I'm not the enemy here," Lucifer said, putting his hands up in earnest. "Those two are." He pointed at Sam and Gabriel who glared.
"Go home. You just kidnapped by demons, and you....someone needs to make sure they don't come back," Michael said to Sam and Gabriel. In typical fashion, they both huffed like annoyed teenagers (they sort of were....at least, Sam was. Gabriel was a perpetual teenager in Lucifer's mind) and then disappeared back to the house.
"Are you going to make me leave too? I thought you loved me," Lucifer said, blinking at the dark-haired Winchester. Michael grumbled under his breath.
"Luce, I've got to go get Dean. And this is my thing, he's my...nephew. Whatever. This family is too weird to get technical. He's my responsibility, the same way Cas and Gabe are yours. I've got to go talk to him, alone," Michael said. Lucifer sighed.
"Are you going to tell him? About him and Cassie?" Lucifer asked.
"I don't know, Luce. I feel like I have to. It's not fair for him to not know. But I'm going to go talk to him. I don't know how it will go, but we'll see," Michael said. Lucifer nodded and then pulled the hunter into his arms despite the fact that they were standing in the middle of the road. He was Satan. He could do whatever the hell he wanted.
"Fine. I love you," Lucifer said, kissing him roughly.
"I love you too," Michael mumbled, turning red. "Do we really have to do this in the middle of the street?"
"You've got to get over your fear of PDA, Mica," Lucifer said, letting go of the hunter. "See you soon." He snapped his fingers and reappeared in the kitchen of the living room.
"Oh, good. Glad to see you brother," a deep voice said from behind him. Shit.
"Metatron. Long-time no see," Lucifer said, turning to see Metatron had a knife to, of all people, Chuck's throat. "Go for it, it's not like I care about Daddy dearest."
"Too bad you care about these four bozos," Metatron said as four angels reappeared with knives to Balthazar, Alfie, Gabriel, and Castiel's throat. The latter of which was also being held roughly by one of his damaged wings and drifting in and out of consciousness.
"Leave them out of this," Lucifer said, his angel blade in his hand.
"Brother, I would recommend putting that down. We wouldn't want to hurt any of your friends. Just so you know, we'd start with the little one," Metatron said with a smirk, glancing at Alfie.
"Touch him and I'll fucking kill you," Adam yelled from the living room. All of the human occupants of the room were tied up. Gilda and Crowley had been confined to demon traps.
"Really, you shouldn't have let your brothers near you. Falling in love with humans, destroying the sanctity of Heaven with your blasphemous sins...you really are living up to the rumors Lucifer," Metatron said thoughtfully. "Anyhow, my friends here are going to tie you up. I recommend you let them, otherwise, I'll start killing your friends. Human, Angel, Demon...I don't really care."
"What do you even want, Metatron? It's too late. The gates have been destroyed," Lucifer said.
"Tsk tsk, Lucifer. You underestimate who I am. I know more than our father does now. Plus, Dad here gave me some helpful information. Killing the destroyer of the gates will restore them," Metatron explained.
"You touch Cassie and I'll gut you," Lucifer said dangerously.
"We'll gut all of you," Gabriel said. The angel who had a blade to his throat dragged it down his side and Gabriel screamed out in pain.
"Stop it!" Sam shouted from the other room.
"These fucking Winchesters," Metatron grumbled. "I think when your friend, the older one, gets home, I'll kill him first. Unless of course you comply." Lucifer looked at Castiel.
Hadn't Michael just told him their first responsibility was to their family? Cassie, Gabe, and Alfie...they were his world. He couldn't let anything happen to them. They were his responsibility...and even if he hated the stupid nickname, he was like their parent (he refused to accept Mom).
"Fuck you," Lucifer growled.
"Is that a yes? No matter what someone you love is going to get hurt. Would you rather I kill all of your family, or just one? It's that easy Lucifer," Metatron said.
"It's okay." They all turned to Castiel, who's blue eyes burned bright with pain from his wings. He looked like he might pass out again at any moment, but he was staring at Lucifer. "It's okay, don't let anyone else get hurt over me. Just make sure everyone is okay. Really." Lucifer opened his mouth, but couldn't find any words. How was he supposed to make a decision like this?
"Wait!" Chuck finally said. Lucifer spun around and glared at his father. "I forgot. There's another part to this," he said, looking frantically at Lucifer. Was he trying to buy them time? Time to do what? "There's a whole ritual. And, uh, you don't just need to kill Cas. You have to have the blood of two archangels." Lucifer glared at him. How was that helpful?
"Good. I wouldn't want to leave them alive anyway. Bring them. And leave that one. He's useless," Metatron said as he gestured at Alfie. "Incapacitated obviously." Lucifer was going to say something else, but a bag was put over his head and he let it happen. At least he was going to be with Gabe and Cassie, right? He would figure out a way out of this.
He didn't have much of a choice.
Hey, a bonus chapter, before Sunday. Go me lol. It seems like the Winchesters might have to stage a rescue mission, and I'm lowkey excited.
I have the honor to be your obedient servant.
