Be warned...this is gonna be a long-ass chapter. Just so ya know.
Ash stepped out of the room and hoped Sam would be alright. She had gotten bad vibes from John before, but now that Sam had told him everything...well, that bitch could rot in hell for all she cared. She turned the corner to go downstairs and offer any witchy help to the angels that she could but instead ran straight into someone.
"Oof. Do you mind?" Ash started. The word 'mind' died in her throat, however, because she found herself staring at a very familiar person. Or a demon.
"Ash. We still have a deal to work out, teen witch," Abaddon growled, grabbing Ash by the arm roughly. She yelped and grabbed a small bag of magical dust from her back pocket. She threw it at Abaddon and the demon screamed as her skin began to peel off her face and arms. Ash turned and threw herself at the nearest door. Dean opened it in confusion until he saw Abaddon.
"Cas!" he yelled. Castiel knew what Dean wanted and tossed his angel blade to Dean.
"Freeze, hunter," Abaddon growled, holding out a bloody hand and sending Dean into a wall. Castiel climbed to his feet, but Abaddon held out her hand and he reached for his throat, clawing at it and gasping unsuccessfully for air. Ash put her hands in the air.
"Don't hurt them, okay? I'll go with you," Ash said. They had been nice enough to take her in, she wasn't going to let the demon hurt them over her. Abaddon looked at Ash.
"What a sweet sentiment. But see, I'd rather kill them, and take you anyway," Abaddon growled. Ash glared at the demon but was focused on the angel blade on the floor in the corner of her eye. She had to get to it somehow...or...Ash threw herself across the floor, diving for the angel blade. Her fingers barely touched the tip, but instead of grabbing it she only pushed it further away from her. Abaddon grabbed her and pulled her to her feet, clicking her tongue.
"Tsk tsk, witch. You really think you can do anything against me?" Abaddon asked.
"No, bitch. But I sure can," Gabriel said from behind her. Ash had managed to push the angel blade directly into the hallway and Gabe must have grabbed it as he came up the stairs. Ash had expected it to be Sam, but oh well. The archangel was probably more useful.
"Silly angel," Abaddon said, pulling out her blade. Ash was ready to witness a battle, but then she felt
cold metal against her throat.
Shit.
"Try anything, and the girl dies," Abaddon said, walking backward to the window. "It was great to see you again. Good luck." At the same time, Ash heard glass breaking downstairs and Abaddon pushed her out the window. Ash landed roughly in some not very soft bushes and then Abaddon jumped out next to her. "Come on. You're going to do that spell, or I'm going to kill you." Abaddon said.
"I can't do the spell without all the ingredients, you idiot," Ash growled. Abaddon grinned at her.
"What, you mean Sam? Don't worry, we'll get him," she turned and Ash followed her gaze to see a group of men and women in suits walking toward the house. Some held knives, some held guns. Ash recognized some of them as angels and her breath caught in her throat. This was not going to go well.
Michael was trying desperately to stop the bleeding. After his brother had shown up, Michael had been upset. After John had continued to insult Michael and Sam, Michael was angry. After John had tried to stab Michael and Dean had saved his uncle...well, Michael was feeling a lot of things. The main one was that he couldn't let John die.
Part of it was that John was his brother. He still had memories of good John, the brother who had grilled for his wife and invited Michael over. Who had complained forever about Michael's car and how badly he wanted it. When they had hunted together, for a while it was good. But then John had changed, and Michael could honestly say the new John was one that he wanted dead. But the main reason why he couldn't let John die was because Dean didn't need to be the one to kill him. Dean was already going through enough, he didn't need any more guilt.
