A week later
Veronica's POV

I was down in the speakeasy with Reggie, who was once again, trying to ask me out. I keep telling him no, but he just won't give up. He knows I'm with Archie. Yea Archie and I got back together, even though he went back to that insane crazy place he was at before.

"Come on Veronica please. I like you a lot. It doesn't even have to be a date it can be a uhh...  I don't know... us just hanging out." Reggie said.

I sighed. "Are you sure that's just not another way of calling it a date?" He stayed quiet. What if I just went on one date with him? "Fine!" I said.

"Wait really?" He said. I nodded. "Sure. If it'll make you happy and shut you up." I said. "Yes! Thanks Ronnie. We can meet here tonight at seven?" "Sure." I said. He ran off back upto Pop's and I heard the bell jingle meaning he left. I sighed and sat down.

A few hours later

I was still down in the speakeasy then I heard footsteps coming down. I looked over and saw Jughead standing at the bottom of the stairs. "Oh it's just you." I said. He gave me a concerned look. "What do you mean it's just me?" I sighed. "Well I finally gave in to Reggie asking me out on dates." "Oh." He walked over to me and just stood in front of me. I was still sitting down. I looked up at him. "Do you not like Reggie?" He asked. "Yes. Well as a friend. He's been helping me with La Bonne Nuit for the last couple of months so Yea why wouldn't I like him? It's just ever since we started working together he's been firting with me non-stop and keeps asking me out." I told him. "He does know your with Archie right?" I nodded. "Yea. I just don't think he cares about him at all." I said. "Maybe the only thing going through his head is Archie's in jail maybe if I comfort her enough she'll love me!" He said impersonating Reggie. I laughed. "Maybe." He laughed to. "So is there any other reason on why you don't want to go on a date with him?" He asked. "Yep!" "What?" "He's an ass." "Believable." He said. As he said this I heard another set of footsteps waling down. "Fuck." I mumbled. Jughead laughed. "Hey Ronnie." Reggie said. I forced a nice and kind smile and lokked at him. "Heeyyy Reggieee." I said uncomfortably and annoyed. "You ready?" I nod. "Yea I'll be up ther in a second." "Okay." He said and walked back upto Pop's. I looked back at Jughead. "Help me." I said. He put his hands up. "Hey I can't help you, but I'll be down here if you need anything." I nodded. "Yea. Just stay here please." I said. "I'm not going anywhere." "Thank you." I said and went up to Pop's.

I immediately noticed Reggie sitting at a booth furthest from the door. I went over and sat across from him. "Hey." He said with a smile. "Why are we sitting over here, in the corner?" I asked him. He shrugged. "This is just where I came." I nodded.

A few minutes later Jughead walked over and stood next to the booth by the door. Reggie looked down at his phone. Jughead point towards the door. I shook my head. He smiled and nodded. "Don't you dare." I mouthed. He shrugged and walked out. I sighed and Reggie turned around. "Who just left?" He asked and looked at me. I shrugged. "I don't know I wasn't paying attention." I said. "Oh okay. Well I'm sorry to cut this short, but I need to get home." He said. I nodded and watched as he left Pop's. I sighed and layed my head on my arms.

The bell chimed again.

I'm getting real sick of that damn bell. "So looks like someone's date didn't go so well." I looked up and saw Jughead. "It wasn't a date." I told him. He chuckled. "Yea okay." I rolled my eyes. "I thought you left?" I asked. "Eh, it looked like you needed help so I messed with you to make you think I left." He said. "Asshole." I said. He just laughed."I call you an asshole so you laugh?" I questioned. "Well what am I supposed to do? Disagree?" He asked. "No, don't do that." I said. "That's what I thought." I sighed and got up. "I'm going back down to the speakeasy." I told him. "To do what?" He asked. I looked down at him cause he was still sitting. "I don't know." I said and walked down there.

Apparently he was following close behind me. "Are you just going to follow me around everywhere?" I asked him. "Well I could be your official body guard." He said. "Body guard? For what?" I asked. "Reggie." "You that'd be very helpful." "Exactly."

A few minutes of silence went by. I yawned. "You want a ride home?" He asked. "You'd do that?" I asked. He nodded. "Yea sure."

Jughead's POV

We walked out to my motorcycle and she seemed pretty iffy about getting on it, but she did. About halfway I felt her grip around me loosen and I knew she was falling asleep. Damnit! Then realized we are five minutes away from the trailer and ten minutes away from her place so might as well take her to the trailer.

When we got to the trailer she was like on the verge of being completely asleep. I guess I'm carrying her inside. I picked her up bridal style and took her inside. I hope my dad isn't home. I took her to the room and layed her down gently. I cover her up and went to go sleep on the couch.
