Veronica's POV

I'm with Cheryl, Toni, and Kevin, and they're all excited because we're graduating. I am, too.

"You know what I really want?" I asked.

"What?" The other three asked.

"Once we've graduated, I can't wait to get out of here. This small, dark and hellish town." I told them.

"I'd understand. This town's got so many problems." Cheryl said. I nodded in agreement.

"Well, what about Jughead?" Kevin asked. I looked at him.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"He just seems like we wouldn't want to leave for some reason." He said. I shrugged.

"Kevin, we go wherever the other goes. So if we end up staying here, or leaving, it won't matter." I told him.

"You two are so great together." Toni said. I smiled.

"Yeah, we are." I said.

"Where is he anyways?" Toni asked. I shrugged.

"I don't even know. He left this morning. Said he had to be somewhere about an hour ago. He said he'd call me later." I told them.

"Do you know where he went?" Cheryl asked. I shook my head.

"No, he never said. But he did say it was important." I said. Cheryl and Toni looked at each other and smiled. "What?" I asked.

"Oh, what? Nothing. We just forgot about something we needed to do. We can do it later." Toni said. I just nodded.

"Okay?" Then my mom started ringing. I looked at it. "It's Jughead. I'll be right back."

"Hello?"

"Where are you?" He asked.

"I'm with Cheryl, Toni and Kevin. Where at Pop's. Why?" I asked.

"Okay. I'll be there in a minute." He said.

"What? Why?" I asked.

"I just wanted to come hangout with you guys. Why?" He asked.

"No, no, reason. I was just wondering." I said.

"Okay." He said and hung up.

"What did he want?" Cheryl asked.

"You make him sound evil." I said.

"He is." She said. I rolled my eyes.

"He's coming to Pop's now." I told them.

Once he got here, he sat next to me because Kevin had already left. He had to go, I think, because his dad called or something. I don't know. I wasn't really paying attention. I'm a great friend! We were in the middle of a conversation when Jughead something to me.

"Oh hey, Ronnie. After tomorrow I have a surprise for you." He said. I looked at him.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I'm just saying I have a surprise. And that it's for you." He said. I scoffed.

"You can't tell me that you have a surprise for me then tell me I have to wait." I said. He just chuckled and shook his head. I looked at the two girls.

"Oh, I don't trust this conversation." Toni said and looked away from me.

"Oh, my God!" I said and looked back at Jughead. "I hate you."
