Veronica's POV
I was in deep thought when I was brought out of it by someone putting their hands on my shoulders. I jumped a little. I heard Jughead's laugh. I couldn't help, but smile a little. "Fuck you." I said still not turning to look at him. "What are you looking at?" He asked standing next to me. I shrugged. "I don't know." I said. "Well what are you thinking about then?" I looked up at him. He looked back at me. "What?" He asked. I sighed. "You." I mumbled. "What?" He asked. "You." I said a little louder. He turned his body to face me. "What? You were thinking about... me?" He asked. I sighed and glaced at the ground then looked up and into the distance again. "Yeah." "Why?" "Well... I uhh... I... I--" I stopped. "You what?" He asked. I walked over, the few steps between us, and kissed him. It took him a few seconds, but he kissed back. The kiss was small, but passionate. I pulled away after a few more seconds. "I like you too." I said quietly. He smiled. "Really?" He asked. I nodded and smiled a little. He smiled at me. This made me smile. "So what does this mean?" He asked taking a few steps closer to me. "I don't know, what do you want us to be?" I said wrapping my arms around his neck. "It's whatever you want it to be." He said. "Well it's settled then." I said. "What is?" "I don't know are we together?" I asked. "Okay this is hows it's gonna be." He said quietly. He smiled. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. I smiled and blushed a little. "Yes, I will." I said and kissed him again. He pulled out from the kiss. "Want to go back to the trailer?" He asked. "Yeah. Besides there's something I want to tell you in a more private setting anyways." I told him. "Okay let's go."
When we got inside the trailer He immediately kissed me again. I smiled and kissed back. He started kissing down my neck. "Stop! I need to talk to you!" I said with a small laugh. "Talk." He said against my neck sending shivers up and down my spine. He started kissing my neck again. "No. No. This can't wait or be like this." I said and he lifted his head and looked at me. "Alright fine." He led me over to the couch and we sat down. "What is it?" He asked. I sighed. "You remember that conversation that we had before the Serpent meeting?" I asked. "Which one?" He asked. "The one before we left. When we were talking about you protecting me and me becoming a Serpent?" "Yeah and you said you becoming a Serpent was never happening." I sighed. "Maybe I've changed my mine." I said. "What do you mean?" He asked. "I wanna become a Serpent." I said quickly. It was quiet. You know the kind of silence when you think you can hear each others heartbeat? Yea that kind of silence. I have to say something 'cause I feel like I'm going insane. "Is that okay?" I asked softly. It took him a second before he said. "I mean when we were talking I was only joking. How long have you been thinking on doing this?" He asked. "Right after we were done talking about it. That's what Toni, Cheryl and I were talking about. I was asking Toni all about it." He sighed. "Well I can't stop you, but why would you want that? Besides I thought you hated gangs and would never want to be in one." "Well I do... or did hate gangs, but this is different." I said. "Is it because you'd like to spend more time with me?" He asked. I shrugged. "A little yes, but it's also because even of most of them hate me becasue of my father, I would be able to have people like you, Cheryl and Toni who treat me like family. More than my family does." I said. He grabbed my hands. "If you do this you will always have a family then, besides you'd be the Serpent Queen after all they'd have to listen to you." He said. "So you saying I can become a Serpent?" I questioned. He nodded. "Yes, it is. Now we can talk about this tomorrow, can we start where we left off?" He asked. I smiled and he smirked. "Yes, we can." I said kissing him and you know the rest...
