"Varian, you better get ready!"

Varian turned his head towards the door, as he heard it slam open.

You walked in with a huge box in one hand and what looked like a long rectangular box dragging onto the ground in the other.  Your hair was a mess. Christmas lights dangling in them and glitter clear in your hair.

"(Y/N), what's this all about?" Varian put the small project he was working on down to help his girlfriend with the boxes.

Instead of handing over the boxes, you dropped the rectangular one on the floor. Using your free hand to drag Varian to the fireplace. Pushing him down to sit on the comfy rug.

Without another word, you quickly went to work. You zoomed across the room, setting up decorations. Starting with the Christmas tree, you put it in a lovely corner and set aside a box of ornaments and lights neatly in a pile.

Next, were the stockings and the Christmas lights. You hung two stockings and a few Christmas lights over the fireplace. Then you went to the kitchen, coming back with a bag of marshmallows and two cups of hot chocolate. Shoving one in Varian's hand and putting the other on the coffee table.

You grabbed a few pillows and threw them  on the rug where Varian sat. You got a blanket from the couch as well and put it over Varian's shoulders. Going into your shared bedroom, you got your laptop and pulled up Netflix.

"I know I forgot something," you said. Your finger on your chin, as you thought. Gasping, you went to the box that was near the Christmas tree and pulled out a Santa hat. Making your way to Varian, you put the hat on his head and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"What was all of that for?" Confusion sketching it's way on Varian's face.

Looking at Varian, you gave him a smile. "Well, I know you've been having problems with your dad. So, I wanted to be special and cheer you up!"

Varian's cheeks grew a pretty shade of pink, highlighting his freckles. He gave you a huge smile in return saying, "Thank you." He leaned in to kiss you.

You stayed like that for a few seconds, just kissing each other and cherishing each other's presence.

Pulling back, slightly out of breath, you both ended up saying, "I love you," at the same time. Giggling a little, you two picked a movie on Netflix and began to watch. Cuddling under the blanket and pillows.

"Also what's with the Christmas decor? It's the middle of September."
