{author's note: MERRY CHRISTMAS! i'm posting this on christmas eve, so it's like an early christmas present.}

In Corona, you were always bound to have a white Christmas.

Snow would be falling and it covered the town perfectly. Varian and you loved it.

Making snow angels, snowmen, and doing snowball fights every year. The best part would be warming up. You'd cuddle by the fireplace and drink hot chocolate. Ruddiger would squirm his way into your arms.

You were with Varian in his lab. He was busy tinkering on something. As you petted Ruddiger, your eyes found their way to the window.

Outside was cold and windy, it made you wonder. Bringing a thought into your head. "Varian, it's the beginning of December, right?" You turn to face your boyfriend, who hummed in acknowledgement.

"Yeah, it is."

You contemplated asking Varian, but you just decided to go for it. "Doesn't it usually start snowing at the end of November?"

Varian stops tinkering, to turn his chair to face you. He shrugs, "Usually, why?"

"Haven't you noticed? It hasn't snowed yet. Not a single drop of a snowflake." You say.

The comment throws Varian off edge, "I guess, I haven't noticed. Do you think it's maybe just a little late this year?"

Sighing, you get up. Causing Ruddiger to jump off your lap and curl his tail next to your foot. "God, I hope so."

You weren't the only one to notice the snow. Or lack of snow, therefore.

"Hey, shouldn't it be snowing by now? I wrote to make a snowman today on my calendar." Rapunzel asks. It was out of random.

The group of you were lounging around Rapunzel's living quarters. The room littered with blankets and pillows. Cookies that were baked, by the castle staff, sat on the tables.

Cassandra was off to the couch, sharpening her sword. She stops to answer Rapunzel, "I think so. I remember last year we did that snowball fight."

You were sitting next to Cassandra, cutting up pieces of paper to make snowflakes. They were to decorate the castle windows.

Eugene cuts in to add, "Then yesterday of last year, we made those snow angels. I remember because I got snow up my nose that day. By someone, who pushed me into it." At his last sentence, Eugene sends a glare towards Cassandra.

She just snorts out a laugh. Saying, "I said sorry, didn't I?" There was no remorse in her voice, though.

"Going back on topic, I noticed the same thing, Rapunzel. There's no snow at all out there." You bring up. Lifting a hand to point at the view outside.

Taking a bite of a cookie, Eugene mumbles, "Ask your science boyfriend. Maybe, he has a reasonable answer for it." Cookie crumbs flew out of his mouth, as he talked.

Cassandra scrunched up her nose in disgust. She threw a pillow at Eugene's head, "Close your mouth when you chew!"

Rapunzel ignored the both of them, adding to what Eugene has said. "Did you tell Varian about this? Eugene's right. He might know something about it." She goes to sit next to you on the couch.

"I did. After, he's been busy ever since. More than usual. Working on something in his lab," You shrug the fact off. "But, you know, when is he ever not working?"

"You do have a point," Rapunzel gives you a reassuring smile. Putting a hand on your shoulder.

During your conversation, Cassandra and Eugene were in the back fighting. The two had launched pillows at each other back and forth. Creating Rapunzel's room into a chaos of a pillow mess.

Cassandra's yell gets the attention of you and Rapunzel. "Just give up already, Fitzherbert! You're running out of ammo!"

"I'd rather die than surrender to you!" Eugene calls back. He was clutching on two pillows tightly. Using one to block Cassandra's throws.

Looking back at Cass, you see her laugh. "I can make that happen! Don't underestimate my power!" She finishes her sentence off with launching a few more pillows at Eugene.

Eugene quickly grabs the pillows that were thrown at him. "Ha ha! I have more ammo now!" He attempts to throw them at Cass' face, but misses. "Oh, dear god. Blondie, please help me." Eugene looks towards Rapunzel for help.

Whining when he sees her mouth back a no, shaking her head. You could tell Rapunzel was having too much fun watching her boyfriend get hit in the face with pillows, by Cassandra.

"Hey, (Y/N), pass me the pillows on the couch," Cass asks. She sends you a grin, evilly eyeing the couch pillows.

Eugene shrieks out, "(Y/N), please, have mercy."

You look him dead in the eyes, "This is for throwing that cupcake in my face, during the Halloween party." You toss Cass the remainder of the pillows.

Rapunzel and you watch with glee as Cassandra covers Eugene with a mountain of pillows. Each one hitting him.

God, you were having so much fun. You just wished Varian was here too.

It's been a week and still no snow in sight.

The people in Corona start noticing it too. It was Christmas Eve and no snow. What kind of white Christmas was that?

Varian saw how upset you were about the snow. How upset everyone was. But, you guessed it was just snow. It wasn't the snow that defined Christmas, it was the people. By people, you meant Varian. And Ruddiger.

So, when Varian asked you to close your eyes and trust him, you expressed some concern. "Uh, what? You want me to close my eyes, so you can blindfold me? Then, you'll lead me somewhere, that I have no idea where it is?"

"Yes," Varian simply said.

You shrugged, closing your eyes. "Fair enough."

Silk red covered your eyes, as hands held your shoulders. You felt like you've been walking forever. But, when you asked Varian he said it's only been 5 minutes.

The direction you were dragged in went left to right. It was like a goddamn maze.

Suddenly, wind blew into your hair. The chill making you shiver. Something was dropped and wrapped in your arms. It was most likely Varian giving you a jacket. "Why are we outside? Also, why is it so cold?"

Varian took the blindfold off and you were surprised with snow. It was gently falling, starting to cover the rooftops and ground.

"Merry Christmas," Varian said. A shy little smile present on his face.

You turn to him, eyes filled with astonishment. "Did you do all this? Did you make a snow machine? Or, am I going crazy right now?"

He chuckles, "You're not going crazy. I saw how you were upset about the snow and I wanted to give you what you wanted." Varian pauses, smirking at you. "Well, besides me, of course."

"Oh, shut up, you giant dork." You wrap your arms around his neck. Pulling him into a long kiss.

The two of you breaking apart, because of the snowball aimed at your head. Turning around you see Cassandra holding a snowball, hunched over laughing.

"Less kissing and more throwing, (Y/N)!"

"Oh, you are so on!" You grab Varian's hand. Smiling, as the two of you throw snowballs back at Cassandra.
