"What do you mean there's another one of them" Beatrix yelled from the hallway.
Alonzo had calmed down since he met Justin and I. He was still a bit uneasy around everyone else, but as long as one of us was with him he was okay.
I had fallen asleep in one of the hospital chairs well I showed Alonzo some of our favorite movies from when we were kids.
It would have been so much different if he was with us. Maybe with some time, he will start bickering back with us.
Beatrix walked in with Justin and Max. Her mouth fell open as Alonzo tensed up. "Hey Trixie," I said as I opened my arms. I stood up and she walked over to me, keeping her eyes on Alonzo. "He looks like us," Max said.
"Well, no Shit" Justin and I said at the same time. Max shook his head as Alonzo smiled at us.
"He seems cooler than the twins," Bee said as he got a closer look at Alonzo. "We're cool," Justin said. "I am, you're not," I said at Justin. He shook his head as he sat on the edge of Alonzo's bed.
I had made them take the cuffs off him, but he still had to stay in the room for now.
"I remember when you three were born," Max said as he looked at all of us. "You knew?" I growled.
"They told me there were three. But after a few days, they told me the doctor overcounted, and we just had twins. I was just happy I wasn't an only child" max stood there with his arms crossed.
"So your Maxwell and your Beatrix?" Alonzo questioned and I nodded.
"Mom and dad have five kids" I whispered but they all heard me. "Jesus" Bee whispered.
~~~~~~
I was sitting in the River valley council hall with Justin and Alonzo.
"I found my mate" Alonzo told us making me bolt up from my chair. "When?" I questioned and he shook his head.
"Awhile ago. She's belonged to a pack so I just ran" he said as he sighed. "What if she's coming here?" Justin said with a smile. "Then maybe you can fix it," I said as I put my hand on his shoulder.
"I basically rejected her in front of her pack so she would have the burden of dealing with me," he said and I growled at him.
"I'm hungry," Justin said interrupting the silence. He got up and headed for the packhouse. Alonzo went after him but I went to grab my phone.
I grabbed my phone and ran out of the main entrance.
"What's going on?" I questioned as I saw all the Greenwood's surrounding Marley. Carter was in Alonzo's face. Justin was nowhere to be seen.
One of the men came out of the circle and shoved Alonzo. He grabbed the collar of my brother's shirt and growled in his face. He just stood there looking at Marley. "Don't hurt him" she yelled.
I could tell by the look on his face. She was his mate. Oh god.
"Stay the hell away from her" Ben growled before he punched my brother in the gut.
"Did JJ leave without us?" I questioned as I walked out looking down at my phone. I felt my mate's eyes on me as I looked at my texts.
"He went to get the truck," Alonzo said as I looked up. They had taken a few steps away from my brother. Carter had his arms crossed as he looked at me.
"What are you doing?" I questioned as I looked at Alonzo. "Oh Ummm. Just talking to some old friends" Alonzo said as he itched the back of my head.
"Where is J?" Alonzo questioned. "You should go find him," I said as I crossed my arms. "I wouldn't want you to leave you with strangers," Alonzo said. "Oh they aren't strangers," I said with a smile.
"Go," I said through our link. "I'll explain later," we both said at the same time.
I waited till Alonzo was inside to look at Carter.
"I don't care what your past relationship with Alonzo was, stay away from him. Touch him again and we will have a problem" I said as I looked at Ben.
"He's trouble and he's dangerous," Carter said as he grabbed my arm. "He's not the same person he was," I said as I tried to pull away from him. "You are my mate. I don't want him near you"
"I just got him back, I don't want your men hurting him," I said as I tried to pull away.
"How long have you know him?" Ben growled. I slipped my arm free of Carter's grip and walked into the building. Justin linked me saying Him and Alonzo were around back in the truck waiting for me.
Alonzo has a troubled past. But he was still my brother and we would stick with him. He was raised different, taught different things.
He was one of us.
Blood is thicker than water.
