ACT I [EXT. / CAMEROON RAINFOREST / MID-DAY]

Spanning across the vast sea of vegetation that is the Cameroon rainforest, peace and quiet goes undisturbed -- though not for very long. A strong rumbling can be heard deep within the lush greenery, and its inhabiting wildlife -- warblers, shrews, monkeys, etc. -- are quick to evade the danger.

Said "danger" takes the form of an adult bipedal pachyderm, who appears to be running hastily along a dirt path until he reaches a bridge. The bridge looks old yet sturdy, and has been built over a large running river. Well aware of his size and weight, the elephant disregards the bridge and walks through the rushing water with minimal effort. While doing so, he uses his trunk to catch a few gulps of water to refresh himself. After reaching the other side, he hurries towards the bridge's other end and wrecks its bearings with a nicely landed kick, causing most of the bridge to collapse into the water. With the bridge rendered unusable, the elephant proceeds to head deeper into the wilderness.

...

After hours of running, the exhausted elephant takes the time to finally lay low and take it easy.

Tusko: (finishes catching his breath) I think... I lost 'em.

Yearning to take a quick rest, Tusko begins to gather up some greenery (leaves, shrubs, etc.) so that he can set up a large, soft pile to lay on. However, in the midst of his gathering, the elephant is suddenly sunk into the earth, revealing that a booby-trap has been set off. A deep hole had been dug and concealed in foliage, and judging by how wide it is, the hole was made just for Tusko. Fortunately for him, he managed to cling onto the ledge of the hole at the last second. After pulling himself out, the elephant looks down to see that lying above the bottom is a net made out of strong, durable webbing -- intended not only to break his fall -- but to keep him from climbing out as well.

Using his large, fan-like ears, Tusko is further aware that he's not alone.

Tusko: There's no point in hiding! Come out and show yourself!

Disregarding the varying melodies of mother nature, Tusko focuses solely on the creator of the booby-tray. And after a few moments of silence...

???: (off-screen) Superb hearing, pal.

Emerging from the leaves high above, the voice reveals his form.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

SPECIES: Huntsman Spider

AGE: ???

HEIGHT: 6' 0"

OVERALL DESCRIPTION: The spider has sable black fur covering his head, upper/lower torso, arms, and legs (which appear to be toeless). In regards to his middle torso, it appears to be a vanilla beige spinal-like tube with a zig-zag pattern. He sports six eyes -- two of which serve as his main eyes (yellow sclera with vertical slit pupils) while the other four serve as pseudo-eyebrows (also yellow) to help him better emote. He has two horn-like features on top of his head, along with a pedipalp appendage on each side of his head. Upon reveal, the arachnid unveils two long fangs in the guise of a toothy grin (teeth are also shaded vanilla beige).

-----------------------------------------------------------------

In the midst of his presence, the spider appears to be hanging upside down, needing only a single thread of web to lower himself from the tree to solid ground -- just a few safe feet away from Tusko.

Tusko: Whoever you are, you best be on your way. I have no business with you.

"Dark Web" Anansi: Hm, [takes out his cell phone, turns it on, and removes its SIM card] is that right?
