ACT I [EXT. / CAMEROON RAINFOREST / PARTIALLY CLOUDY DAY]

Before the peregrine even has a chance to fly back; Before the cheetah even has a chance to muster a single word, he's immediately enveloped within a large stream of plasma.

Radi: NOOO!!!

As soon as the beam ceases, all that remains is... a green force field?

Radi: ... way?

The peregrine isn't the only one surprised. The tortoise Nightmare sees that its intended target is still alive, having been encased in said force field before coming into contact with its plasma breath. Despite it retaining a few cracks, it managed to keep the cheetah unscathed.

Umeme: ... [opens his eyes and sees that he's still alive]...

No doubt about it. Quickly looking around soon after, Radi spots that this was the doing of Terra, appearing hundreds of feet above the already staggering Nightmare. Having been seen by him, Terra gestures to Radi that he should catch the beast's attention while it's still oblivious. Though a bit confused at first, he quickly gets what she means. Radi then gives the tortoise an electric blast to the back of its head, causing it to turn away from Umeme. In the blink of an eye, both peregrine and cheetah have vanished from the Nightmare's field of vision, further confusing it.

The jellyfish telekinetically pulls Umeme up over to her, with Radi flying over as well.

Radi: (to Umeme) Okay, word of advice. Never be doin' what I'm doin'!

Umeme: Heh, I'll try. Thanks for the save, Terra.

Terra: Came as soon as you texted me. [takes out her Nightmare Radar] And a whole lot sooner from what I saw on this.

Umeme: Lemme guess, you thought it was the ziggurat too?

Terra: [looks at the energy signature]... No.

Umeme & Radi: ...?

The three peer down to see the Tortoise Nightmare, looking around in search of its missing targets.

Terra: [puts away her radar and gives Umeme to Radi for him to carry] You two stay back. Let me have a crack at this.

Umeme: Kay -- but just a heads up, that thing is seriously thick-skinned.

Radi: Possibly extra.

Terra: All the more reason not to go easy.

As Umeme holds onto Radi by his ankles, Terra readies herself and creates a large sphere of psychic energy. But for this Nightmare, "large" is being generous, so she increases its size tenfold. No, twentyfold. Hm... better make it twenty-onefold, just to be safe. With that done, a ginormous psychic sphere now floats high above the Tortoise Nightmare.

With positions set, the sphere begins raining down hundreds of beams towards the Nightmare, hitting it from any and all sides. As the psychic sphere gradually depletes, Terra supplies it with more energy, not stopping until the beast has fallen. But despite the amount of beams heavily weighing it down, this seems to have no effect regarding damage, no matter how much she adds.

The Tortoise Nightmare slowly peers up to see the source of the raining beams, and promptly blows it away with its plasma breath. Terra, Radi, and Umeme luckily manage to evade the intense inferno of the exploding sphere.

Radi: Okay, someone has ta' say it! Is that thing just gonna spam the same attack over and over?!

Terra: Here's hoping.
