Chapter 5
#33828's POV:
Wait, what?
Saved me from death?
"How?" I asked.
"Well... you see... umm... follow me, I'll tell you over here," Phiona said awkwardly. I followed her as she turned a corner and went up a small set of stairs.
"First, I have to tell you a secret. I have to be able to trust you won't tell anyone this..." Phiona scratched the back of her neck.
"I won't tell anyone, I promise," I looked her in the eyes.
"Okay, here's the secret, my name isn't really Phiona..." she said. "I forgot my name after... an accident... with fire... and futuristic technology... and now all I remember is my Walker ID... and I try and remember my name while I tattoo new Walkers... it's why I was so quiet when I tattooed the symbols on you..."
I was astonished. I tried not to push her to talk. Instead, I asked her about the tattoo on my finger. She showed me her hand. She had the same tattoo on the same finger as me.
"It's like the other tattoos, it's to show we are all Walkers, I gave one to the Walkers that come to the base often," she explained."Wait..." I said, thoughts popping into my head.
"Yes?" She asked me.
"You said you remembered your Walker ID... right?" I asked.
"Yeah, I remember it..." She reflected.
"What is it?"
"I'm Walker #28714."
