Alan's POV
As I went back to my own bed, I couldn't help thinking about who could've cut Daph's hand open.

Well, it probably wasn't Viivi, she knows how mad I would be it she did it.

It couldn't have been Chris or K, I know that they wouldn't lay a finger on my sister if I didn't want them to.

It most likely wasn't her friends, for obvious reasons.

That leaves one very likely possibility: Jamie (Au/Ra). She said my sister was cute, and she seemed jealous of me having Daph as a little sister. I'm gonna take a wild guess that Jamie cut not only Daph's hand, but her own as well, and then squeezed them together, so the blood would go into each other's hands and they would become sisters.

Just before I fell asleep, I looked over and saw Viivi and Daph, who were both shivering. I can understand. Norway's winters are bitterly cold. Canadians thought they had it bad. Okay, fine. I've never experienced a Canadian winter. But here, it can go down to -60°C in the winter. Most of us Norwegians have gotten used to the extremely cold weather we get most winters. This winter felt unusually cold, however. Probably the solar storm, messing everything up.

I took my hoodie off (I'm wearing a shirt underneath) and dug another one out of a small bag I packed. I always have at least two spares. I took the one I was just wearing, took a silver pen and wrote near the bottom of the hoodie:

Daph,
I saw you shivering last night, and thought I'd give you my hoodie to keep you warm. You can keep it, I have spares, and I can tell you're not used to Norwegian winters. Love you, sis.
Alan.

On the other hoodie, I wrote:

Vi,
The winters may be getting colder, but you're only getting hotter  ¬‿¬
❤️ Alan.

I walked over to Daph's bunk where she was shivering, and I laid my hoodie that I was wearing earlier overtop of her to keep her warm (which covered almost her whole body). I laid the hoodie I got out of my bag over Viivi.

I went back to my bunk, took my second spare hoodie and put it on. Then I fell asleep

*** Hours later ***

I woke up to someone tapping me on the shoulder. I opened one eye. It was Viivi. I smiled and opened the other eye. She pointed in another direction and tried not to laugh. I looked over. Viivi was pointing at my sister who was wearing my hoodie, which went down past her knees.

"Oversized hoodies fit me so well," Daph smiled.

"That makes no sense," Vi laughed.

"Neither does dying so hard that you come back to life," Daph replied.

"What? I'm confused," I laughed. "Or am I only confused because I just woke up?"

"Doesn't make sense to me either," Viivi admitted.

"You need coffee," Daph laughed. "No, I need coffee. If only Tim Hortons still existed."

"Tim Hortons...? " I asked and rolled out of bed. I have no clue what that is.

"Oh my gosh, you don't know what Tim Hortons is?" Daph sighed.

Viivi and I shook our heads.

Daph sighed again.

"Must be a Canadian thing," I said, leaning against the top bunk.

"Tim Hortons is a coffee shop," Daph told us.

"Oh, so, like muzzbuzz?" Viivi asked.

"Like what?" Daph asked.

All of a sudden, #28714 and #36386 walked past. They stopped when they saw us. #28714, #36386 and Daph laughed.

I'm really confused. I need coffee. Heh.

All of a sudden, Daph's laughter turned into coughing. That's when I noticed that Daph wasn't wearing her mask. I was by my sister's side, arms wrapped protectively around her within seconds. Coffee can wait.

Viivi had a shocked look on her face. Then it hit me — she's never seen any of Daph's coughing fits before (at least I don't think she has).

"She's gonna be fine, don't worry Vi," I reassured her.

"Your mask, where is it? Why aren't you wearing it?" I whispered in my sister's ear.

Still coughing, she pulled it out of her pocket and put it on.  Eventually the coughing slowed, then stopped.  I sighed, relieved.

I put my hands on Daph's shoulders. "I'm gonna go look for some coffee. Scratch that. Red Bull. If I find some, I'll bring you a can, alright? I'll be right back," I told her and went in search of Fio.

While I was looking for Fio, I came across Jamie. We locked eyes.

"You did it to her, didn't you?" I lowered my voice.

Jamie laughed hysterically. "I totally didn't cut mine and your sister's hand so, long story short, we might become sisters! Totally didn't!"

"Show me your hand then."

She showed me her hand. It showed no sign of ever being cut.

"Show me you other hand," I sighed.

"No," Jamie refused.

"If you didn't do it then you should have nothing to hide," I smirked.

"Okay fine, I did it," she rolled her eyes and showed me her other hand. She unravelled the piece of old fabric wrapped around her hand to reveal more proof.

I really wanted to YEET POTATOES at her, but I didn't wanna risk it. When Jamie gets mad, she can become your worst nightmare. Under no circumstances should you ever make Au/Ra angry.

Instead, I looked her in the eyes, and said, "Don't EVER hurt my sister AGAIN, understand?"

Jamie nodded, a little startled. "I won't, I didn't mean to in the first place."

I nodded and waved, as I continued my search for Fio, and Red Bull.
