Daph's POV:

I was running alongside the Walkers. Running in the mountains, the Fjords in fact. Running from the SWAT team, who's firing at us. Running to a base that will keep us all safe. It's no longer a battle. It's a race now. To see who can get to this base first, the Walkers or the SWAT team. I kept running, regardless of the fact that I can feel the sharp rocks under my feet, even through my boots.

Then, I saw Alan, on the ground, and his left side was bleeding. Fiona and I ran over, along with K-391, who came over from ahead of us. I started to cry. I noticed Fiona's eyes were glassy from the tears she's holding back. K-391 was also crying. The three of us knelt down beside Alan.

"It's gonna be okay," K-391 said to both Fiona and I, as well as Alan.

Fiona let her tears fall.

"It was nice being your sister while it lasted..." I sobbed and lowered my voice to a mumble, while taking off my mask. "...Life isn't fair. Why does Alan have to die? Why can't I die instead? What will we do without our leader? Without Alan, we are just normal people. We are nothing. We are truly alone."

K-391 leaned over to me. "You are his sister, so now you have to take the lead. You're our leader now," he whispered.

I nodded. "Are you guys gonna help me carry Alan, though? He's 28 and I'm only 17..."

The three of us picked up Alan and ran for our lives.

"Us Walkers are lost without Alan..." I said through sobs.

K-391 spoke up. "The Walkers aren't lost without Alan. They are lost without a leader. Right now, they don't have a leader. You are their new leader. Stay strong. You are a Walker and part of K-391 army. Two strong families you can depend on and trust with your life. Be a leader."

"Wow, that was deep," Fiona said.

"Sorry..." He apologized.

"Wait, how did you know I was part of K-391 army?" I asked.

"I send and type out the verification emails by hand to every new member," K-391 explained. "...and when you went back to my website, I decided to read your bio because I was bored... and now look where that brought us... here. You can call me K if you want... y'know, since you're Alan's sister and all..."

"Okay, I thought you hacked me or something, I know Fiona would've," I sighed in relief. Fiona nodded.

K spoke up again. "Be the Walkers' leader! They're looking for their leader, which was Alan and is now you!"

"But... What about Alan?" I asked.

"I'll call Mello over, he's just over there, he'll help us carry Alan," K reassured me, and shouted in the opposite direction. "Chris! I need a little help over here! CHRIS!!"

I saw Marshmello turn around and run over to us. His smile faded (😂) when he saw Alan.

"Holy sh!t, what happened to Alan???" Mello said, wide-eyed in shock.

"We'll tell you later. We just need an extra hand. Could you check Alan's pulse?" K asked Mello worriedly.

Mello checked Alan's pulse. "Good news, he's still alive. He's just unconscious. But we'll have to run, I have no clue how long he'll continue to live."

"Oh, thank the potato overlord..." I muttered under my breath.

"And also..." K continued, and Mello looked up, still holding Alan's wrist. "My friend here is Alan's sister. She has to go, can you hold Alan where she's holding him now?" K looked at me, then back to Mello

Mello nodded and walked over to me. "Oh, Alan's sister? Camila, right?"

"No, his other sister. I'll explain later, it's complicated," I said.

Mello raised an eyebrow, but nodded. He reached his arms under Alan's shoulders (where I was holding him) and I left the three to carry Alan (ik I'm so mean).

I saw K mouth the words, "be our leader."

I took a deep breath. Then I had a coughing fit. I doubt that my lungs will ever be the same again.

I tapped my watch, and the countdown timer to the solar storm materialized. 38 hours left.

Then I shouted, "Walkers! We only have 38 hours until the solar storm! According to the map, the base is this way!" I started running north.

To my surprise, the other Walkers listened to me.

"Don't worry, Alan is NOT dead!" I also shouted.

My seven siblings along with Viivi came up to me.

"What happened to Alan?" Viivi asked.

"Oh, so you don't know..." I said, as a tear rolled down my cheek. "...he got shot..."

Viivi's eyes were glassy. I felt so bad for her.

"...but when it all falls down, we'll be fine..." I said, while holding back tears. "We are the leaders now... us nine... until Alan wakes up... "

"if he wakes up..." Adara (or #4673) added.

All nine of us were crying now.

"Let's run, the faster we go towards the base, the sooner we get there, and the sooner we get there, the sooner we can help Alan," #20320 suggested.

"Good idea, plus, the SWAT team is trying to kill us," #8754 said, and continued to run.

We started to run faster. My siblings, the Walkers of Origin, helped me with navigation and leading the Walkers in the right direction.

~Timeskip (8 hours later)~

We're all getting thirsty, hungry and tired. We were able to outrun the SWAT team by hundreds of kilometers by now, however. The sun has set, and the moon is our guiding light.

Everyone insisted on a rest break, especially Mello, K and Fio, who were carrying Alan the whole day. I gave the Walkers a rest break. While they were resting, I checked our surroundings. We were near a small river, and we were halfway up a mountain.

I decided to go sit by the river for a minute. Flowing water calms me. As I was walking over to the river, I noticed that it sounded like I was walking on something made of metal. I stopped in my tracks and looked down. I was standing on a vault door, identical to the one at our old base.

"Walkers, I found the base!" I shouted at the top of my weak lungs.
