Alan's POV:

"45 minutes," I read my watch.

Daph stared at me, also shocked. I knew exactly what she was thinking. Everyone we know that isn't here at this base is gonna die.

I noticed a tear fall from her eye.

"Hey, it's alright, we might lose almost everything, but we won't lose each other. If this night is not forever, at least we are together," I smiled, and pulled her into a hug.

"I know I'm not alone," she said.

**Timeskip: 30 min later**

A Walker tapped me on the shoulder. I pulled Daph out of the hug, and turned around to see #23653 with a panicked expression on her face.

"Alan, we have fifteen minutes until the solar storm!" She said.

"Oh no..." I muttered. "Meet us in the main hall and tell any Walkers you see on your way there to meet in the main hall as well. We'll be there in a minute," I told her. She nodded and left the room.

"So, we're meeting everyone else in the main hall?" Daph asked. I nodded.

"Let's go," I slowly started to walk away from the bed. She stood up and followed me out of the medical room and downstairs to the main hall, which was crowded with Walkers.

"I can't believe I'm going to lose almost everyone I know," Daph said.

I took her hand. "ALMOST everyone you know. You'll always have me," I reminded her.

Then, I tapped my watch. The hologram materialized and I read it in my head. 7 minutes and 2 seconds until the storm.

Then, I heard the sound of an explosion from outside. The ground shook. The storm is early.

"WALKERS, TO THE MAIN HALL, NOW!!!" I shouted. I felt Daph's grip on my hand tighten a little.

"It's all gonna be okay," I whispered to my sister.

I felt the ground shake again, but more violently this time, and all of the lights and our tech shut down, and we were left in darkness. The only thing that reminded me that I was still alive was the warmth I felt from Daph's hand, still gripping tightly onto mine.

All we have is each other now.

All we have is us Walkers.

We are the future of this world.

We are the Walkers.
